Bars and clubs line up side by side beckoning you in with deals on drinks. Vibrant music floats into the warm evening air and likeminded partygoers enjoy nothing more than throwing out their best moves on the dance floor. Tenerife is an excellent choice for those seeking a party island holiday, boasting a more laidback vibe than some of its rivals like Ibiza, meaning you can enjoy a balanced trip exploring attractions during the daytime before dressing up to hit the town in style at night. What’s more, you can leave cloakroom expenses behind you as temperatures remain consistently warm between May and October, meaning that summer jacket can stay in the wardrobe!

    Playa de las Americas

One of the classic party towns, Playa de las Americas houses everything from the ‘King of Clubs’ – Tramps – to Irish-themed pubs and live music venues. Tramps earned its ‘royal’ reputation with a mix of world-renowned DJs, a fashionable interior and a massive space for partygoers. 2014 will see Judge Jules, Vernon Kay and Danny Howard take to the decks of the nightclub, while themed evenings include the Summer Fiesta and Aftersun Party – both scheduled for August.

For something a little more low-key, try the Papagayo Beach Club for five levels of cocktail experts who will make whatever fruity concoction you fancy, whether you want to sip daiquiris, sangria, or mojitos after a sumptuous dinner.

    Santa Cruz de Tenerife

    Tenerife Music

To the north of the isle, Santa Cruz de Tenerife comes alive after midnight when the locals come out to play. Los Reunidos is perfect for those who want to fill up on a selection of small tapas dishes before mixing with the trendy residents of the Noria district. Alternatively, for the Latino rhythms of Salsa and Samba music, Sabuu on Avenida Francisco La Roche houses a lively atmosphere and plush décor – all you need to do is grab a partner.

    Costa Adeje

    Dancing in Tenerife

If you are not a fan of very large nightclubs, Faro Chill Art is built in the shape of a boat and it hosts comedy evenings plus local and international DJs and live bands. Head here at the weekends for the best entertainment, cocktails and magnificent ocean views from the rooftop Ataca terrace.

St. Eugenes is perfect for those who want to hear their favourite tracks belted out by various artists – variety in music styles really make this venue tick.

So there you have it, some of Tenerife’s top bars and nightclubs! And here’s our hot tip: if this isn’t enough to satisfy your party spirit, try a boat party leaving from the harbour.
