Our 5 favourite clubs in Ibiza
Ibiza has remained one of the most popular clubbing destinations in Europe for years, and for good reason. The atmosphere and music here is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before – it’s no wonder some people stay until September’s out. The fun never stops all summer, and with beach parties, boat parties and villa parties, you’ll need another getaway after your Ibiza holiday to recover!
There’s a huge amount of clubs on the island given its size, but here are Falcon’s top five nightspots to try to fit in to your Balearic itinerary.
Pacha is one of the world’s most recognised clubbing brands, and this club in Ibiza is the best-known venue. Located in Ibiza Town, it’s right by the other Ibiza stalwart, Space. Built in 1973, it’s the oldest club in Ibiza and is one of the few that’s open year round. Make sure to fit in a Friday session at the weekly ‘It’s All Gone Pete Tong’ night to get a feel for the best in house and techno.
Space is fittingly huge. The superclub has a capacity of 6000 and regularly sells out. Punters love it here and it’s won ‘Best Global Club’ at the International Dance Awards a few times over the past decade. Thanks to its location a little out of town, the music booms on the terrace and you can dance the night away under the stars. The annual summer night ‘We Love Space’ starts at 4:30pm on Sunday and carries on until 6am on Monday morning.
Along with Space and Privilege, Amnesia is one of the other super clubs of Ibiza. Stay raving long enough and the sunrise beams down on the glass terrace dancefloor – it’s one of the most incredible experiences in the world. Originally an 18th century manor house, the building now sees more than 200 people work here over the summer and there are 30 bars in total, ready to serve up your favourite disco-side cocktails!
Ushuaia is one of the newest clubs in Ibiza and arguably the hottest one on the island right now. The party centres around the pool and starts from early afternoon. The whole place has a Miami-style feel with three-storey condo buildings spaced out around the pool lagoon. Fashionistas who want to be seen in the right places will love it at Ushuaia. David Guetta and Armin Van Buuren both have residencies here, and look out for some chart topping special guests over the summer, too.
DC10 is the club for the people in the know. Smaller than the other clubs and a little cheaper, it’s where the workers go to party and there’s a great vibe as its a bit more underground than the super clubs in Bora Bora and San Antonio. It’s located right under the flight path for Ibiza airport, so whenever a plane passes overhead, everyone raises their arms up to the sky! Make sure you fit a Monday day party on the terrace at DC10 into your Ibiza line up.
So if you’re off on one of our #NRG holidays to Ibiza this year, make a note of these venues for your clubbing tour and settle in for a riotous week in the sun.
