Zia Village, just 16km southeast of Kos Town, is one of the best places to watch the sunset in Kos. The village’s sunset fame has led to a good range of romantic rooftop restaurants to choose from, and the local craft shops stay open for you to peruse before and after. Direct buses go from most resorts.
The rugged coastline area around the Agios Theologos restaurant is another great spot to watch the sun sink low. Either book yourself into the taverna for a traditional Greek meal or find yourself a good spot among the lagoons on the beach. Agios Theologos is only a ten-minute drive from the resort of Kefalos.
Pefkos is one of the best viewing points for a beautiful sunset in Rhodes. Time it right and you can enjoy the panoramic view as the sun slips into the marina past the Acantilados de Los Gigantes (Cliffs of the Giants). The Mirador Archipenque is a great spot for anyone wanting a meal by sunset on a budget. The nearby Royal Sun Resort has a terrace and swimming pool to relax and enjoy the sea-view as the sun sets over the cliffs.
