Everybody wants to have a great holiday, but there are certain tips and tricks you need to know if you want to get the best holiday. Here’s how to make your summer 2018 holiday the best yet…

    1. Book early to bag the best deals

Our summer holidays are bookable over a year in advance, and there are some brilliant money-saving deals and incentives for early birds. Booking early also means you get the widest choice of hotels and the best flight times, which is especially important if you want to head to a popular destination or travel in the school holidays.

    2. Fly from your local airport

TUI has flights from Dublin, Cork, Ireland West Airport Knock and Shannon, so take a look at flights from your local airport. Not only will you save yourself some time, you may well also save some money with our cheap flight deals.

    3. Bookmark our deals page

Keep an eye on our deals page to find the best short, mid and long-haul holidays. It’s where you’ll find all our latest offers, so it’s the place to head for a bargain.

    4. Upgrade to a swim-up room

Many of our hotels offer the chance to upgrade to a swim-up room – the ultimate in bragging rights. Aside from swim-ups, our hotels offer a huge range different room upgrades, from spacious family rooms and interconnecting rooms – great for families with older children – to suites with their own private pool. The sooner you book, the more choice you’ll have.

    5. Think about the best time to go

If you know the dates you want to travel but can be flexible either side, tick the ‘flexible by +/- 3 days’ box underneath the search bar and you’ll be given a few different options. If you’re not set on a certain date, think about booking your holiday at the start or the end of the summer season to save on costs.

    6. Check in online for save time at the airport

Check in online from 7 days before, and you’ll be relaxing in the departures lounge even sooner.

    7. Get a free child place

Every year we offer thousands of free child places for certain hotels and room types – you can use our free child place finder to help find the best deals.  Places are limited and when they’re gone, they’re gone, so it’s definitely worth snapping them up quickly.

    8. Pre-book kids’ clubs and excursions

If there are certain things you know you want to do while you’re away – like taking the children to the kids’ clubs or heading off on an excursion – it’s worth pre-booking so you can guarantee a place. It’ll also save you time once you’re there, as all the planning is sorted.

    9. Choose your seats on the plane

For a little extra, you can use our Select Your Seat service and choose exactly where you want to sit on the plane. Just bear in mind the sooner you book the more options you’ll have, as it’s a popular service.

    10. Take advantage of low deposits

Book your holiday early and you can make the most of our low deposit scheme, which means you can spread the cost of your holiday. The scheme is available on selected holidays and lets you pay a partial deposit to secure your break, with the full deposit amount due in 8 weeks’ time.
