    1. Enjoy some of the best beaches in the world

    There’s no doubt about it – Bali has some of the best beaches in the world. Whether you’re looking for a beach where you can lay back and soak up the sun, surf, snorkel or partake in numerous other water sports, you’ll find something to suit you on this tropical island. Some of the best beaches to head to include Crystal Bay, Nusa Dua, and Padang Padang.

    2. Visit the Uluwatu Temple

    Bali has a plethora of beautiful ancient temples, and the Uluwatu Temple is considered one of the island’s spiritual pillars. Situated on a clifftop, it boasts breathtaking views over the Indian Ocean. It is also home to hundreds of monkeys who are said to guard the temple.

    It’s open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. So, no matter what time of year you visit, you’ll always be able to take a walk around the temple.

    3. Channel your inner James Bond in Tanjung Benoa

    There are a lot of water sports you can enjoy on a trip to Bali. If you head to Tanjung Benoa, you’ll find one of the most exciting water sports in the world – Water jetpacking!

    After strapping on the jetpack, you’ll be able to fly up to 10 metres in the air over the water. The experience lasts for around 20 minutes, and it isn’t just super-fun, it’s also great to view Bali from the air.

    4. Explore Monkey Forest

    If you’re visiting Ubud, you won’t want to miss a trip to Monkey Forest. Packed full with over 500 monkeys, this temple complex is part of a large nature reserve, featuring three temples dating back to the 14th century.

    Be aware, if you do visit this famous forest, you’ll want to make sure you aren’t carrying anything the monkeys could steal! Sunglasses, wallets, handbags, etc should all be out of grabbing distance!

    5. Explore one of the great chocolate factories

    Did you know that Indonesia is considered one of the top manufacturers of chocolate in the world? While in Bali, you can take a trip to the Pod Chocolate Factory. You’ll discover how the chocolate is grown, harvested and produced, as well as being given the opportunity to purchase chocolate and sweets in its shop.

    These are just a small selection of things you can do on your Bali Adventure. If you have the time, it’s also worth considering a trip to Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta.

    You might want to consider taking a day trip to Indonesia’s capital, just an hour and a half from Bali via flight. Jakarta benefits from a mixture of cultures, and its massive size ensures there’s plenty for tourists to see and do.     7. Indulge in a breathtaking infinity pool

    One thing Jakarta is renowned for is its selection of stunning infinity pools. You’ll find them throughout the entire city, leaving many visitors wondering where to find the best infinity pools.

    One of our favourites is the infinity pool featured at the top of the SKYE Bar & Restaurant. Situated on the 56th floor, the pool is located right on the edge of the tall building, providing spectacular views over the city. Make the most of the experience with a refreshing cocktail after indulging in mouth-watering cuisine from its restaurant.

    8. Explore the Menteng flea market

    If you love shopping, you’ll definitely want to head to the Menteng area of Jakarta. Well-known for its bustling flea market, there’s a huge choice of goods available. The Jalan Surabaya flea market is the largest in the city, and it’s particularly renowned for its excellent choice of vinyl records and wood carvings. More than half a kilometre long, you can easily spend hours in this fascinating market.

    9. Take the kids to Ragunan Zoo

    The city has plenty to offer families too. The local Ragunan Zoo provides a fantastic family day out, spread over an impressive 185 hectares. You’ll find 3,600 species of animals within the zoo, including orangutans and Komodo Dragons. It’s a great place to visit to learn more about the stunning wildlife of Indonesia.

    It’s worth noting that the zoo is closed every Monday, and there will be a lot of insects so wearing insect repellent is a good idea!

    10. Enjoy a fun-packed day at Dunia Fantasi

    Another great family-friendly attraction to visit on your trip to the capital is the Dunia Fantasi theme park. You and the kids will get to enjoy more than 30 rides, alongside a Puppet Castle Main Street, a huge Ferris Wheel and a Star Wars themed section. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a small theatre at the park, regular hosting shows which educate you about Indonesia.

    11. Treat your palate at the Seribu Rasa Menteng

    Finally, Jakarta also offers a vast range of top-notch restaurants. One of the most famous that you’ll definitely want to check out on your trip, is the Seribu Rasa in Menteng. Set within a stunning Colonial design mansion, this upscale restaurant serves up impressive traditional Indonesian dishes. It’s situated right in the heart of Menteng, and it also serves refreshing draught beers to wash down the spicy Indonesian delicacies.

    These are just a small number of attractions and activities you can enjoy on a visit to Jakarta. Stunning roof top bars, a renowned shopping mall, and even Jakarta golf courses are also great reasons to visit this capital city.
