If you’re planning a fun-packed family holiday to Majorca this year, it’s worth planning your activities ahead of time. There’s so much to see and do in this popular holiday destination, making it difficult to tick everything off the list in one visit.

If you want to ensure that you and your family have the best time on your Majorca getaway, read on. Here, you’ll discover some great activities you’ll want to add to your itinerary.

    Check out the Palma Aquarium

The Palma Aquarium is an excellent family attraction in Majorca. Home to over 8000 animals from 700 different species, you and the kids will find it fascinating learning about the different types of marine life.

You’ll get to witness marine life in Pacific, Mediterranean, Atlantic and Indian Ocean habitats. Classical music plays as you venture around the aquarium. One of the best parts of this attraction is The Big Blue. This is said to be the deepest shark tank in the whole of Europe.

Take a trip to Cabrera Island

Situated just off the south coast of Majorca, Cabrera Island is well worth a day trip. It was once used as a prison camp, but today it’s a beautiful national park. There’s a majestic 14th-century castle that overlooks Majorca, providing picturesque views you won’t forget.

You’ll get to see a lot of different wildlife here too, such as kestrels and blue lizards. If you head down to the Sa Plageta beach, you can also enjoy some snorkelling.

    Explore underground cave systems

Trying to beat the heat in Majorca can be tough, especially during the summer. So why not cool off with the family by exploring some of Majorca’s underground caves? They maintain a pleasant 18°C, providing a welcome relief from the heat. Not only will you stay cool, but you’ll also get to witness the beauty of these underground cave systems.

Spend the day at the Playa de Muro beach

Majorca certainly isn’t short of attractive beaches. One of the best is undoubtedly the Playa de Muro beach. With shallow waters for younger children to paddle in and plenty of facilities, it’s one of the best family-friendly beaches on offer. Playa de Muro has Blue Flag status, so you’ll know the water is clean and accessible.

    Go horse riding together

Create fun lifelong memories by signing the family up to horse riding on the beach. Trails typically last for around two hours, and there are plenty of options available. Some take you up a mountain, where you’ll get to witness memorable views across the island and the sea.

Have a fun-packed day at Katmandu Park

Looking to enjoy a fun-packed day with the family? The Katmandu Park is a great attraction to add to your itinerary. The theme park is situated in the Calvia Beach area, and has entertainment to suit all age groups. You won’t want to miss the interactive experiences on offer, getting you up close and personal to creepy crawlies.

Take a boat trip to Sa Dragonera

Another top activity to consider is a boat trip to Sa Dragonera. On this unique dragon shaped island, you’ll get to enjoy the beautiful nature reserve. Get up close to the indigenous lizards and explore the pirate tower. You can also get the family involved in snorkelling and swimming after you’ve ventured around the reserve.
