Take one massive waterpark. Throw in a stack of knuckle-whiteners. Sprinkle with a couple of relaxing rides. And voilà – you’ve got the Aqua Nevis Clubhotel.
Set over 24,000 square metres, the brilliant Aqua Nevis Clubhotel has waterslides that range from pulse-racers – stand up Kamikaze and Twister – to more sedate affairs, like the Crazy River.
You’re within walking distance of the town centre and beach, but the hotel puts on a free shuttle bus to zip you there even quicker.

Alongside family-friendly numbers such as the lazy river and wave pool, smaller visitors are looked after here too. Adventure Island is packed with mini slides and water sprays just for the little ones, and the pool is nice and shallow for splashing around. Bigger slides like the Boomerango half-pipe and the speedy multi-lane chutes are on hand for thrillseekers to enjoy as well.
Just so you know, the waterpark is also open to the public, and food and drink at the restaurant come at a charge. And just to make you aware, some of the slides may be too big for younger visitors.
- There is a height restriction of 130cm for the larger slides

Great family resort and Aqua park
This holiday was a last minute booking after my sister wedding we needed to get away so we book this resort as my kids love swimming so I thought this would be a great place to go with a Aqua park. The resort sits right next to the Aqua Park so you are in second to the park and you can come and goes as you please as long as you staying in the resort. You are a 10 minuets walk to the beach and a clubbing strip and far from the hotel so you cannot hear loud music which is great. The food is ok and entertainment is good kids loved the bingo also my kids loved the kids club. More
We had a great family holiday. No bugs. No issues. Water park great. Food can be a little repetitive and a shame no other restaurants like some other all inclusives but we knew this when booking. We would returnMore
Bit hit n miss
I have holding off writing this review because my feelings were very mixed - I can see both sides of the arguments for this place. Our first 10 days were great; Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff worked very hard and always pleasant- never experienced any issues with any of the staff. Todd in the sports bar was brilliant - worth his weight in gold! Food - typical All inclusive, wasn't to everyone's taste but there was always plenty of choice. Entertainment - this could do with a bit more cash investment. Entertainers were really nice and kids were happy enough. Played bingo a few times - that was good. Also the Mr Britain show was hilarious. Hypnotist was terrible, didn't care much for the Bulgarian dancers either. Waterpark- brilliant. We went in September so there was always plenty of beds etc. Brilliant to not have to get towels out on beds at stupid o'clock to get a space at the pool! Location - not the best to be honest. In an industrial estate and the smell was terrible outside the hotel. The hotel does put on the complimentary bus service to the front and it's only 5 mins walk (not great with buggys/young kids). Our eyes were really opened on the last 4-5 days of the holiday and that was purely the people that had arrived. Kids as young as 4-5 allows to run amok and do as they pleased. There was young kids allowed to help themselves to food at the restaurant - picking up food with their hands and throwing it back into the trays, spilling food and drink all over the place. Likewise young kids running around the lobby, playing with the drinks machines, dropping and spilling drinks/food everywhere. The parents just leaving the mess for the staff to deal with - taking absolutely no responsibility for cleaning up after themselves or their children. The lack of common sense or decency was unbelievable - no wonder the staff appear unfriendly having to deal with some of these people must be soul destroying. We had the waterpark view rooms - no issues until the last few days when the people above thought spraying their "champagne" over the balcony was a good idea - right on top of us, emptying rubbish over the balcony etc Again astonished by the sheer rudeness of people. I should point out the hotel has rules in place to cover all these issues - people were just blatantly ignoring them. If our full 2 weeks had been like the last 4/5 days this review would have been much worse. I was concerned about the lack of acknowledgement of the illnesses in the hotel. A few of our group had the sickness bug - definitely not the food I had it and had only eaten toast. 2 of the kids ended up with the rash on hands and feet - went to the hotel doctor and were sent to the hospital. There we were charged the insurance excess of £150. Told it was an allergic reaction-given a prescription for 27 lev and had to pay another 50 lev for a taxi back to the hotel. we were told the European Health cards were worthless and had no effect? There has been lots of reports of hand foot and mouth at the hotel and it most definitely looked like this. In summary although I enjoyed our holiday, hotel and staff were great - I'm not sure I would risk paying the high prices for this hotel again in case we ended up with a similar crowd to the ones that came on the last 4/5 days. Aqua Nevis Some good bits and there is the let downs
We stayed at the Aqua Nevis from the 28th of August till the 11th of September Hotel very comfortable rooms spot on family rooms over looking the water park. Access to Water park is a plus lots to do inside you can spend your days in here lots to do. The kids club staff are amazing our son loved it the staff spot on. Food is very good lots of choice and the staff work hard and there was one member of the staff which was very popular with all the children Chris the ice cream man a asset to the Hotel he went out his way to make the children happy he even stayed to help out with the entertainment team well done Chris, Liam will never forget you and a plus internet access in every room. The reps Chris was very helpful the other umm what was her name spent most of her time on the phone or her Ipad no interaction with the holiday makers thank good for Chris. Sunny beach love the front the beach very good and lots of night life really enjoyed it. The not so good I had something stolen from the room it was not expensive but that wasn't the point we informed Chris the Thomson rep who told the guest relations at the Hotel and ....? nothing no report back to us and if it had been followed up which I found very said as that gives the impression they could not give a dam well you carn;t fit everything in the safe and you hope the staff are reliable well not at this Hotel I would have loved to go back to Bulgaria but not this hotel which is a shame I always choose holiday villages and splash worlds but felt a little let down as if no one cared shame really as the hotel let it self down,More
We went here in the middle weeks of August 17. We went for 2 weeks. There were 4 of us 2 adults 2 children aged 11 and 13. The hotel itself was spotless and had maid service everyday. Kept very clean even to the fact that were ever you walked the maid was behind you cleaning up. Not a bad thing though. The food was ok for the first couple of days. Although it be came very repetitive. We ate out most evenings. There was s a lovely restaurant called djanny which was on the walk to the beach. Not bad on price. Wouldn't book 2 weeks again possibly 7-10 night's would be ok. If it wasn't for the free water park entry we would have gone mad. Nothing to visit or do. Although we did go on a boat trip to nessebar which broke the day up. Very religious and not for us. Most nights the hotel had bingo. Nothing for kids over 11 really. If you are staying overlooking the water park make sure you watch the lifeguards on the rides after it shuts on Saturday. They are nutters. Going head first down camikarsi... 4 -5 up on the boomerang. Dangerous.... The sports bar is easier to get drinks although it does smell rather unpleasant around the toilets. The food around the pool bar was great especially the pizza... The all inclusive drinks were ok as well. If you have young children be careful in the main square as it has quite a few sex shops and stripclubs. Mainly for stag holidays. There is a nice Chinese restaurant in main square. Very good good and value for money. All in all a good holiday. Weather was in the 30s everyday... Would we go back - probably not as nothing else to do apart from water park which after 2 weeks you know every ride.More
