Flying with other airlines

I'm flying with British Airways, how do I manage my booking?

Check-in

British Airways’ online check-in opens 24 hours before your flight departs.

You can check in, add Advance Passenger Information and download or print your boarding passes for all your flights directly from the British Airways website.

You’ll need to enter your British Airways booking reference – this is your six-character alpha-numeric TUI flight reference number, not your TUI booking reference – and surname[s].

You’ll find your flight reference number on your booking confirmation email, e-ticket, and on Manage My Booking on the TUI website or in the TUI app.

If you’re unable to check in online, you can do it at the British Airways check-in kiosks at the airport.

Seating

Seats can be selected once your flight has been ticketed – which is usually around 50 days before your departure date – via Manage Bookings on the British Airways website.

British Airways charge a fee for choosing a seat, but you’ll be allocated a seat for free at check-in if you’d prefer not to pay.

Please contact us on 0203 451 2688 if you want to upgrade.

Baggage

Your baggage allowance will be shown as you go through the booking process or on the customer documents that we’ll send to you after booking. Bookings with hold baggage included will also include hand baggage.

To find out more about your British Airways baggage allowance, including hold and hand baggage dimensions, see baggage allowance information.

Extra bags, extra weight, special items, or a larger hand baggage allowance can all be purchased via Manage Bookings on the British Airways website.

Meals and trip extras

On short-haul economy flights (Euro Traveller), British Airways High Life Café items are available for pre-purchase. A limited range is available to buy onboard and you’ll receive a complimentary bottle of water and a snack.

On long-haul economy flights (World Traveller), you can expect a starter, main and dessert, with a choice of hot, cold, and alcoholic drinks. British Airways also offer mid-flight snacks and a second meal on longer flights.

If you have special dietary requirements, please check the information on how to order special meals.

Travelling with children

For more information about travelling with children on British Airways, please see family travel with British Airways. You can find out more about child baggage allowances, family seating and children’s meals, as well as lots of other useful content to help you prepare for your flight.

Assisted Travel

For more information about British Airways Special Assistance, please visit their disability assistance web page. Here, you can find information on wheelchair dimensions, mobility assistance, travelling with hearing or visual impairments, and travelling with service dogs.

For general information about medical conditions, pregnancy and bringing medical equipment on board, see medical conditions and pregnancy.
