Flying with other airlines

I'm flying with Virgin Atlantic, how do I manage my booking?

Check-in

Virgin Atlantic’s online check-in opens from 24 hours before your flight until 70 minutes before departure.

You can check in, add Advance Passenger Information and download or print your boarding passes for all your flights directly from the Virgin Atlantic website.

You’ll need to enter your Virgin Atlantic booking reference – this is your six-character alpha-numeric TUI flight reference number, not your TUI booking reference – and surname[s].

You’ll find your flight reference number on your booking confirmation email, e-ticket, and on Manage My Booking on the TUI website or in the TUI app.

If you’re unable to check in online, you can do it at the Virgin Atlantic check-in kiosks at the airport. Please bear in mind that airport check-in desks usually close 60 minutes before departure, so keep an eye on the latest check-in time for your airport.

Seating

Standard seats can be selected free of charge at check-in. Alternatively, you can select any seat in advance for a fee via My Booking on the Virgin Atlantic website.

Baggage

Your baggage allowance will be shown as you go through the booking process, or on the customer documents that we’ll send to you after booking. Bookings with hold baggage included will also include hand baggage.

To find out more about your Virgin Atlantic hold baggage allowance and dimensions, see baggage information.

For more information on special baggage allowances, see extra baggage and overweight bags.

Extra bags, extra weight, special items, or a larger hand baggage allowance can all be purchased via My Booking on the Virgin Atlantic website.

Meals and trip extras

Virgin Atlantic flights include meals. For more information, or to find out about children’s meals and special dietary requirements see food and drink in Economy.

Travelling with children

For more information about travelling with children on Virgin Atlantic, please see flying with children. You can find out more about child baggage allowances, family seating and children’s meals, as well as lots of other useful content to help you prepare for your flight.

Assisted Travel

For more information about Virgin Atlantic Special Assistance, please see accessibility and special assistance. Here, you can find information on wheelchair dimensions, mobility assistance, travelling with hearing or visual impairments and travelling with service dogs.
