Flight and airport experience

I experienced a flight delay on a TUI flight, am I entitled to compensation?

At TUI Airways, we’re really proud of our reputation for our on-time departures.  Our teams in operations, at airports, on-board and in destination work tirelessly to ensure our guests’ holidays depart on time.

In the unlikely event that your flight is delayed,  you may have the right to claim compensation under the EC261 / 2004 legislation.  We would also recommend purchasing travel insurance - please check the policy terms and conditions, so you have the right policy for you.

You can make a claim compensation if your flight had a TOM flight number, if the arrival time was delayed by more than three hours, and if the flight took place within the last six years.  If your flight was with another airline, please contact them directly.

If the delayed flight is classified as "Extraordinary Circumstances" you will not be eligible for compensation under this legislation.  Some common examples are, strikes (such as ground handlers, or air traffic control) or bad weather.

To make a claim for EC261 compensation please apply directly to us, by completing our online form.  One of our team of specialists will review your claim against the above criteria and will come back to you within approximately 28 days to confirm whether or not you are eligible for compensation.

Please note applying through a solicitor or claims company means you will receive less, as they charge a fee for their services.
