View All DealsOn holidays to San Stefanos you can enjoy a stay in a cosy Greek village which just so happens to sit right on the doorstep of one of the best beaches in Corfu
San Stefanos lies along the winding coastal road between the villages of Arillas and Avliotes, about an hour’s drive north of Corfu Town. Despite being one of the most popular holiday spots in the Med, it’s still a friendly little fishing village at heart. Traditional whitewashed houses mingle with stylish hotels and holiday villas, sandwiched between a sandy, horseshoe-shaped bay on one side, and rolling olive hills on the other. And because the village sits right on the edge of Corfu’s north-west corner, it gets some of the best sunsets on the island.
The main reason that so many visitors flock to San Stefanos year after year is its beautiful sandy Blue Flag beach – one of the biggest on Corfu. Almost 2 kilometres of golden sand slope gently into the sheltered waters, making it super-safe for non-swimmers or families with small children. And because San Stefanos beach is wider than most, you’re never short of a secluded spot to settle into the sand for the day.
Exploring the 16th-century fortress, shopping for handmade gold jewellery in the narrow streets of the old quarter, sipping coffee in the Parisian-style main square... These are just a few of the highlights of a day out in Corfu Town. If you stick around after dark, you’ll find the best nightlife in town in the strip of bars and clubs just beyond the new port. You can get there by catching what locasl call the green bus from 1 of the 3 stops in San Stefanos village. Three buses a day run directly to Corfu Town and back. If you’d rather stick to your own timetable, you can hire cars in the village at reasonable rates.
There's a gorgeous sandy beach stretching along the whole length of the resort with plenty of watersports bringing it to life.
