This place is in a really handy spot for the beach. And it comes with a big pool, too.
Backed by Mount Skopos and surrounded by green fields, these whitewashed studios are in a picturesque little spot. And better still, they’re just 5 minutes’ walk from Kalamaki’s beach and centre.
There’s a snack bar here, serving everything from cooked breakfasts to Greek specialities. And for evening meals, there are tavernas just a short walk away.

Just returned from a weeks break at the Ionion Blue ,quality hotel ideally placed for the beach and just a short walk from the town with its may bars and restaurant , It was quite as you would expect for this time of the year, yet the sun shined and all the bars and restraint on the main strip were open for business and only to willing to accommodate offering discounts on starters and sweetsMore
Just returned from a week at the Ionion Blue, we were in room 407 which was a very modern clean room with spectacular views. The hotel is in an ideal location just a short walk from the main strip and the beach. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, especially Gina on reception and Helen at Breakfast. The lovely lady who cleaned our room was so polite and did an amazing job. The restaurant serves top quality food with plenty to choose from and shouldn't be missed. Highly recommend this hotel and the restaurant! More
Just back from a lovely stay!
Returned yesterday from a one week break at the Ionion Blue. We had booked a superior double/twin room on a bed and breakfast basis and on arrival were allocated room 309 which we were more than happy with. The room is actually two rooms with a sliding door divider should you need to use it and had both a fridge and kettle - neither of which we expected being that we were not booked with "studio" type facilities so this was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom was not large but was more than adequate. Yes, the shower could have been in a better position over the bath (wasn't expecting a bath all be it a small one) but having visited various Greek holiday places in the past, it was more than sufficient. Water was hot at all times. Lovely balcony offering great views. We did not need the air conditioning as evenings were cool enough to sleep if you kept either the outside shutters or curtains closed during the day. Breakfast was served in the bar/snack bar/restaurant and you chose from a menu. Don't go expecting a big breakfast buffet, it's not that sort of place but the choices were sufficient and food plentiful. The freshly cooked omelettes were particularly nice! One of the criticisms I have seen is of there not being enough sun beds around the pool. We did not find this to be the case and we never had a problem getting a sun bed at any time of the day. Yes, some people did put their towels out and not appear for a while but as said, it didn't affect us. There was also in my opinion enough shade - both umbrellas and natural shade under lovely palm trees. I do appreciate that we were travelling mid September and there weren't many families - mainly couples. All in all the pool area was lovely - though the pool itself was a little "bracing". We found all of the staff at the Ionion Blue to be lovely from Gina on reception, the ladies who kept the rooms spotless, the lady working the bar during the day and Joni working it at night.....all lovely with nothing being too much trouble. If you want a nice relaxing break, in a clean, friendly environment with plenty of places to eat and drink a short walk away than this could be the place for you. If you want to be in the thick of things with lots going on then it may not. We had a great time and would have no hesitation in going back and very much hope to do so!More
