    Great Hotel overall. We had a Junior Suite on 3rd floor. Lovely large room with kitchenette, dining table and with a fantastic view of the beach, sea and also hotel Tivoli. Beautiful sunsets from the large balcony. Stayed half-board. So close to the beach and just 2 minutes walk from the Marina with lots of good bars and restaurants. Only approx 20-25 minute walk to next town Quateira. Very friendly and efficient staff especially Natalia and Armajit in the restaurant - they couldn't be more helpful. Nothing too much trouble for all of the staff there - reception, cleaners, porters and dining staff. Two large pools outside with plenty of sun loungers/umbrellas plus lovely Spa and inside pool - for the rainy day we had. Hotel itself very accessible for wheelchair users (just apart from some areas of the spa). Was a bit of a mix up with wet room booking (still not sure if Hotel or travel agent's fault) but the Manager Bruno could not do enough to help. Managed to get us a disabled chair to go over the bath and anti slip mat by 5pm that evening. Did offer us another room by mid week, but smaller room and view not half as good so were happy to stay where we were with the adapted chair. We also got a bottle of wine and a meal in the hotel's beautiful Italian Restaurant from the Manager as apology. Food at breakfast was lovely. Delicious varied selection of fresh fruit, lots of choice of breads, pastries and doughnuts, cold meats and cheese, cereals. Plus cooked breakfast available- although didn't really need this after the variety of continental food. Dinner was also very nice. Good choice - so always found something we liked. The only downside we found was the evening entertainment - although the Portuguese Folk dancers were very good. But we were at the Marina a lot of evenings anyway so didn't spoil our holiday. Would definitely recommend this hotel - especially for location, cleanliness of hotel and friendliness of the staff- will definitely return in the future.

    Beautiful Hotel for our Honey Moon, we had a lovely room, very clean and comfortable. There were lovely gifts, and the room was prepared beautifully for a newly wedded couple. Staff were very friendly and we had a great meal in the pizzeria of the hotel. Highly recommended.

    This is a lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff throughout. We had a lovely marina and sea view room on the 9th floor. Do check when you book that you request a sea view room as not all rooms at the rear have balconies. We went H/B and enjoyed both breakfast and dinner with plenty of choice. We never had any problems with lifts which makes such a pleasant change, A few days after arrival you are invited to meet the manager which is a lovely addition. I mentioned a bar in the bath would help me get out of the bath.Within a short time the bar was in place.The hidden gem is the indoor pool and jacuzzi.The temp of the jacuzzi is 35 and the temp of the indoor pool is around 22. Simply delicious.This is nothing to do with the hotel but there is a lack of shops. All we saw were restaurants and public bars. Do visit the coffee shop attached to the hotel, it has a lovely selection of cakes and pastries and the cheapest coffee in the area.

    We really enjoyed our stay at Vila Gale. It was such a great experience. Friendly staff, clean rooms and extremely close to the beach. The breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of options. No complaints here!

    I only stayed for one night but found the staff excellent and the location perfect, on the beach and less than 100m from the marina....just far enough away from the late night noise of the bars and restaurants. Room was fairly standard twin beds and bathroom, adequate size with small balcony. Breakfast had a lot of choices although the sausage and bacon aren't 'British style'
