You can fly direct from Dublin to Ibiza in the Spanish Balearic Islands. Locally, it's still called Sant Antoni de Portmany, once a small fishing town. Nowadays you'll see that it's spread its wings, with brand-name shops, dining spots and Ibiza's famous nightclubs. During the day you can laze on the beach or try out some watersports. Then it's time for Ibiza's greatest free entertainments. Join the locals people-watching on the promenade, or bask in the setting sun with a cocktail on Sunset Strip.
For the past 40 years, Ibiza has made a global name as a clubbing island. San Antonio is known for its lively atmosphere, and particularly for its throbbing nightlife. Sunset Strip is lined with cafés, bars and chill-out clubs, and is 10 minutes’ walk from the West End. This is the hub of the high-octane night scene, where you'll find bars, huge clubs and boisterous discos.
The capital of Ibiza is only 20 minutes' drive from San Antonio. Here you can spend a day in the old walled town, wandering its medieval alleys. You'll find a clutch of churches, several museums and a 14th-century cathedral. You can admire the elite yachts at the marina and grab a drink or a meal by the water. Just around the corner you can also move on to the mega-clubs for some dancing.
