We stayed for a week at the end of sept, weather was amazing and the hotel was lovely, there were some 'not so good' points but the good certainly out weighed the bad! Food was good, plenty of selection and all the areas are cleaned and kept stocked up very efficiently - the staff were all very polite and very quick to clear tables etc, could of had abit more selection at times but they can't cater for absolutely everyone all at once! Snack bars are all very well stocked and just have the usual food ... burgers etc so that's fair enough, again staff all very efficient and friendly. There is plenty of activities during the day for people to join in as well as crazy golf you can play - right up until midnight :) it's not expensive and passes abit of time. Evening entertainment is ok, probably mainly catered for kids (animal shows etc) but it's alright for an hour for something to do - it's no 5 star so you have to expect that it's not going to be amazing which annoys me people slating it ..... During the day we popped out to the beach to have a look around which was nice :) it's about a half hour walk and was nice to see, went camel trekking which is about a 10 min walk from the hotel - very good place to visit and see - its simple but fun! Rooms are always cleaned and tidy - we put a do not disturb sign on the door so we didn't get woken up but the doors are so hollow we got woken up every morning by the maids saying hello to everyone that walked past ..... very polite maids and I suppose it made us get up haha! Bad bits Air con ..... not very good but if you get a second key for the safe (which you have to pay for - no problem) close the doors and balcony and when you come back it's abit cooler - not much but it's ok..... only annoying thing is we paid for late check out but when I came back from the pool my key didn't work so had to go down to reception to activate it! We also paid for a private taxi which makes a massive difference too and from the airport! All in all a lovely hotel - people have far to much to complain about on here and if I'm honest it's not 5star so it's not going to be the best but it's good enough for what it is :)More
Just what the doctor ordered.
We had a well relaxed holiday,my husband had had a few health problems over the year so was glad when we got away on 2nd of October,we couldn't fault this hotel except for your check in,be prepared to stand in queue, very, very slow, but after this all was good, room was very clean and spacious, food was excellent and plenty of choice, never had to rush down to get a sun bed,the entertainment wasn't up to much and there wasn't anything close by but that didn't bother us too much,I would certainly recommend it and would go backMore

Not bad...Could be so much better !!!
Myself and my wife went for a week's R&R at the beginning of October. The intention was to just chill out by the pool and recharge our batteries. We chose this hotel for the all inclusive and its recommendation from a couple of staff at the travel agents. On arrival the hotel certainly looked impressive from the outside and this carried forward to the huge reception area. Our room had a pool view as requested with a great vista of palm trees too. Very pleasant sitting on the balcony with a drink. The room was ok. Air conditioning was not working as the catch was broken on the balcony door. I fixed this with a bit of jerry rigging on the 2nd day. It then worked ok although i would have preferred it to be a little cooler. Pool areas were great and sunbeds were always available. Be aware that you have to buy a umbrella if you want shade. Food was ok if not spectacular. The usual cattle market of fighting through the rude and ignorant people who leave their manners at home. Not the hotels fault although a better layout could help. Never had a problem with the drinks quality if you chose wisely and was on par with other all inclusive i have used. All in all we enjoyed our holiday. Having said that we have paid half the price of this holiday and had just as good a time. 4 stars is stretching it a bit. Other than the hotel and reception area looking spectacular everything else is 3 star in my opinion. More
Second stay and wont be going back.
Previously stayed here 3 years ago and wrote a good review at the time so I decided to go back. Here's the update and it's disappointing..... Good: Great pools, good breakfast. Bad: Air conditioning useless, no cooling whatsoever. The whole corridor of the wing smelt stale and musty, simply no fresh air, so I doubt the problem was just with my room. Single beds were like concrete, so hard, I'm a side sleeper and it was impossible unless I got drunk. Combined with the hot room I didn't sleep properly the whole week and nor did my girlfriend. One pillow with no filling each. Cant comment on whether a double bed was same but I wasn't prepared to pay a massive premium for that. Except for breakfast the lunch and dinner food was poor. Boring and repetitive. Cheap would summarise it. We ate out the last 3 nights of the week. I never saw the tables cleaned in the outdoor snack bar probably due to the general staff shortage in all the outdoor bars. All inclusive drinks were awful. The beer was the worst I ever had. I never saw any guys having more than one or two and then they stopped. The cocktails were just as bad, filled with excessive syrup. The only thing fit to drink was the coke. We drank outside the hotel after the first couple of days. The "do not disturb sign" on the door was ignored while we were at the pool. The maid cleaned the room and a 50 euro note was taken from the room. The entertainment was worse than poor. Overall there seems to be cost saving going on by the hotel everywhere. Definitely not 4 star as advertised. Within 24hrs of arriving home I have had the flu which I can only think I caught on the Thomson flight home. Its been terrible and I've had to take time off work.More
No wow factor
Previous reviews of this hotel are in truth not to far wide of the mark This hotel is fine for a weeks R and R but the place doesn’t really wow you Parts of the hotel are looking a little tired and certainly the swimming pool flooring is in need of a re tile Whilst it wouldn’t ruin your hotel it does irk you the charges of some of the so called extras ... tennis court hire and borrowing a racquet and ball ..nearly 15 euros Pool table cost ..2 euros Play mini golf 4 euros each Use of the room safe for the week 14 euros Every time you change your towels.. 1 Euro Charge for WIFI Best of the lot a charge for using the mini fridge in your room otherwise they lock it ( new one to me ) My partner summed the place up as the Ryanair of hotels ! The staff are friendly and efficient, the hotel is certainly clean and the grounds are nice . Previous comments about poor air conditioning are valid but as long as you get a spare room keycard and leave it in there whilst your out of the room you can get past this problem Food is Ok without being stunning but there is plenty of choice In fairness in common with lots of hotels when they say all inclusive on the alcoholic drinks they are talking about the local stuff which in the case of the wines and certainly the so called cocktails are not far off non drinkable Sorry to say that the beer and various spirits were not much better ! We had a nice week away but as far as 4 star hotels are included I’ve stayed in a lot better My general summery of the hotel is that it is ok , nothing more More
