This place is more like a village than a hotel – that means you get a big choice of restaurants, bars and pools.
This place is modelled on a traditional Canarian village. The reception area is a full-scale replica of one of the island’s oldest churches, and there’s a central square where you’ll find an Italian restaurant.
You’re a few minutes’ stroll from Meloneras’s sand-and-shingle beach. And it’s a 10 to 15 minute walk to Meloneras’s paved promenade, which is lined with shops and restaurants.

a very disappointing stay
terrible value for money - the hotel was very expensive for the conference participants and the furnishings dated. the junior suite had a sitting room that was unusable, as it was so dark. feedback to the hotel on the first day led to no change. there were ants in the room and bathroom. the service was quite indifferent and inefficient - especially at reception. the power failed one night for two hours - no back-up. a hotel to be completely avoided.More
Poor value for money!
Given the price paid this was poor value for money. The room facilities looked tired and old, the lighting was very poor, and the air conditioning had no thermostat with only a three speed blower control. Staff too were not friendly and were generally unhelpful.More
Relaxing two weeks
This was our fourth visit in the last six years so we know our way around the hotel and have a good understanding of how this hotel operates. We were disappointed that our room request, made a few days prior to our arrival by email, had not been met and we could not change rooms to a more suitable room until the following day. This was the only negative in the whole holiday!. Reception staff, waiting staff and room maids were friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were clean and well maintained, although a make over would take them up to the next level. Food in the restaurants was very good, with the quality of the steaks and sea food bordering on excellent, I believe the overall standard of the food was better that on our previous visits. The price of wine and drinks was most reasonable. Pools and grounds immaculate, as usual. The free wifi was adequate for what we needed. As for the issue of charging for the room safe, probably more palatable for this charge to be added/absorbed into the room rate and a 'free' room safe is provided as standard. The free bus to El Corte Ingles in Las Palmas is a welcome addition to the services that this hotel has to offer. All in all another pleasant stay and we will return.More
EXCELLENT HOTEL BUT NOT 5 STAR
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 10 days in October. Although the place aspires to be a 5 Star hotel it lets itself down with some aspects. The grounds, restaurants and pools are all very good. Our room was excellent, after we had got it changed, originally put in a room without a requested sea view because the view was blocked by palm trees. There are 4 restaurants, one of which is A La Carte with a supplement, all of which served a variety of interesting and good food. Service always 1st class. 3 of them are arranged around a main square in which the excellent evening entertainment takes place. There are many pools, including a quiet one, ie no children, and heated. All very relaxing and enjoyable. So how do they fall short of their 5 star aspirations. 1 - They have a rule that they will not put a kettle, cups, milk/teabags in the rooms. Even when we request these they said they couldn't do that. Under significant pressure they eventually relented, But the kettle was ancient, a type I had not seen for 20 years. Do they still use an Abacus for their accounts!! I have stayed all over the world and never had a problem making a cup of tea when we wake up. Indeed most hotels now have modern facilities for this, including a modern coffee making machine. Not this hotel. 2 - The bath towels were small and thin, definitely not 5 star more like a 3 star from the 60s. 3 - The bath robes were very small and there were no slippers. Cheap they may be, but usable they were not. 4 - The floor of the shower was very slippery. Many guests mentioned this causing the need for a special non-slip mat. These may all seem like relatively small problems but they do lead us to conclude, not a 5 star more like a 4 star.More

Big hotel, good service and staff, many pools
The hotel is more of a small resort than a hotel. You have several buildings each with its unique style and room design. For sure the closer you are to the water the better the view. There are about 4 pools, some heated, some salt water and one is a quiet pool. They have a few places to eat, from a steak house, open buffet, bar and a few more. The service is very good around the hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The gym, is not what you would expect for such a nice hotel, its small, with few equipment and no real free weights for men. We got free WIFI when we were there as it was part of a conference. It is a good hotel, depending on when you go the age groups can vary a lot. But over it is a good place to stay.More
