Dear Ursula & Team We are back from another wonderful time at Sandy Beach. From the moment we arrived getting a warm greeting from reception to the moment we leave, everything was wonderful........as usual. Staff and food are excellent as always, the 2 main reasons we return twice a year. The staff who look after us everyday are brilliant and make our holiday a relaxing pleasure. Please don't change anything. For a stranger considering a stay - location, room and cleanliness all superb also. We look forward to seeing you all in April. Thanks Damien & Joanne Earley (Ireland)More

Lovely lovely hotel
We stayed for a week in September and quite honestly couldn't fault the hotel. Check in was quick and easy, rooms were spacious clean and tastefully decorated. Food was very good quality and although busy the restaurant was always clean and well stocked. Drinks were good some quality cocktails included on the AI and really nice wine. Pool was quite small and there is a mad dash for sunbeds but nothing major and the beds were extremely comfortable. Staff were all great, nothing to much trouble at all. We celebrated our we anniversary there and they went above and beyond to make a fuss of us from an upgraded room to bottles of fizz. Entertainment was great one of the best elvis tributes I've seen, and it's a real join in atmosphere amongst the guests. The area surrounding is ok, a little run down but plenty of shops. Faro maspalomas is a nicer area and only 5 euros in s taxi. All in all a great week, good food, friendly staff and guests and wonderful weather. We wouldn't hesitate going again :) More

Returned on sept 4 after a very pleasant two weeks at this hotel I have only written a review once before although we go on holiday two or three times a year but earlier this year after spending five thousand pounds on a five star in Mexico it was a disaster so was a bit apprehensive about this one and I can honestly say it was money well spent Check in . Room. Food. Staff are faultless now I am not saying it is perfect a few niggles nothing major first few days getting served at pool bar was a problem as there was preferential service to Germans and Spanish and other British guests felt this also but I think there must have been a few complaints as it was absolutely fine after that. I don't like the system for getting water for room as they are glass bottles and was frightened of dropping them can't understand why they are not left in room . Now to the subject of smoking in restaurant I. I cannot understand people complaining as my husband and I are recently ex smokers of over fifty years but as we vape which is harmless vapour but out of courtesy to other guests we sat in smokers section and I can honestly say we never could smell smoke at anytime after all it is open air the hotel is fair to all guests as there is a no smoking area as well as inside dining which caters for. Non smokers The procedure they have for reserving sunned is the fairest I have ever seen there are ample beds for everyone On a final note can I just say the staff are the nicest and honest you could meet my husband dropped his little change purse which I might add had a lot more than change in it and paco in the salon bar checked our room number and handed to reception we can't thank them enough and we will definitely be back soon More

Stayed here from the 18th September to 2nd October and had a great stay. On arrival our room wasn’t ready but was told to go and have some lunch whilst we waited. When finally getting in to the room it was clean and tidy and spacious enough for us as a couple. The rooms are cleaned daily and the shower is lovely and powerful. The food at the hotel was great and was plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner, lunch was always pretty much the same each day but then you can get waffles from the pool bar from 3pm and these were lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful but sometimes you could see favourtisim towards guest from other nationalities!!! It states that the pool was heated but I still found it too cold, the sun bed reserving is a bit crazy if you want a decent bed then you need to queue by 8.45 to reserve them and even then you found that some guest believed they owned the area by throwing their towels past you on to beds it was really annoying especially as some people would reserve there beds first thing and then eventually get to the pool late in the afternoon but the towels were left in place. There is plenty to do in the local area, the beech is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and the local shopping centre is a 10 minute walk away. Only cost €5 in a taxi to the dunes, Melonares and the moonlight cinema which is a great night out too. All in all a nice hotel in a good location.More
