Hotel Taurito Princess

Stayed for one week in January 2020. The hotel has excellent location and views. Our room was on the top floor which gave stunning views of the open sea. The food in the restaurant was reasonable. Certainly not four star. One major problem was very poor water supply in the bathroom. In the morning hours there was absolutely none or very minimal hot water supply. Suddenly while taking shower the hot water and even any water would stop. Certainly not expected in a four star accommodation. In fact in ANY holiday accommodation. On complaining one technician was sent to the room. But this did not help because there was simply no adequate supply. Dissappointed. Otherwise we had a good holiday.

Our 2nd visit to this hotel, which has undergone a refurbishment since our last visit 12 years ago. The position of the hotel is beautiful. The resort is small with a few shops etc. Right by the sea and surrounded by mountains. All the rooms have a sea view which does not carry an extra supplement. The rooms are very bright,spacious, beds comfy, fridge and safe also included in the price. No quibbles about changing towels etc. Beach/ pool towels provided. A small charge incurred when changing those. All areas are spotlessly clean. The food is in abundance and of good quality as are the drinks. There is an upgraded drinks package available for 9 euro's 50 per day per person but we were happy with what was available.The beach is a public one of black sand. The sunbeds and parasols have to be paid for. It's very clean and has a selection of beach bars etc. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols around the pools but of course you still get the few that are up at silly o clock reserving them. I did see them being removed by staff a couple of times. The staff are very warm and welcoming, working hard to ensure everyone is looked after. We booked a taxi transfer this time. I would definitely recommend this as it only takes 40 minutes compared to well over an hour and twenty minutes depending on how many drop offs there are. Can be up to 7. Forgot to mention that there are excellent public transport links into Playa Mogan and around the island.

We stayed at the hotel early December and the week flew in. Transfer from the airport was smooth and check-in even more so. The room was above expectations- a real 4*. Beach towels were provided, with 3 changes allowed for the week. Meal times were there to suit everyone. The restaurant was buffet-style and overall, quite good. As with all AI, it became a bit repetitive. The main problem was the range of AI drinks included. Quite shocking. Even after upgrading to the premium package, there were still drinks which were chargeable. A little paradoxical, considering that drinks included in the package were more expensive than some of those which still carried a charge. There was plenty of room around the pool. Unfortunately we were unable to use it because it was so cold. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Just remember the drinks issues.
