Noisy and incomplete
We (my wife and I) just arrived yesterday to this hotel and already is it driving us crazy. We were aware of the fact that it’s “only a three-starred hotel” (that’s no shame), and didn’t expect too much from it. At first, the check-in took roughly half an hour. Extremely slow, but when it did become our turn, the woman behind the counter was welcoming. Little did it help since the lobby was overheating (so were we almost) from the lack of air conditioning which was supposed to present. We got to our room 502 - and everything seemed fine to begin with. After all, the hotel has just undergone an “extreme makeover” a year or so ago. Slowly did we notice the incompleteness in our room, e.g., walls are lacking paint jobs, kitchen cupboards are uneven, and worst of all the door to our small terrace cannot open (unless you knock it down - outwards!).. Fine fine, let’s have a go at the swimming pool. Being an all-inclusive guest, we went to the pool with the pool-bar. That just happens to be the darn “animación” headquarters as well and we were welcomed to absurdly loud German disco music. Hurray for a holiday, so far.... If we wanted peace and quiet (weird, right? For a holiday...), the reception suggested us to go to the “quiet pool” along way from the bar, toilets, etc.. and where we had locate available sun beds between all the “reserved” sun beds (funnily enough, that’s not allowed at this hotel and no one is checking up on this).. At dinner time, it couldn’t all be that bad... or could it? The restaurant is humongous and poorly designed with a rubbish acoustic and the entertainment area as part of it (everything inside a grand “hall”-like building). We came around 8.30 pm and the “animación” team strikes again. Loud music, hyper energetic clapping, screaming, and singing disallowed my wife and I from even speaking to each other. We rapidly consumed the rest of our dinner to get the **** our of there. Puzzled about the, what seemed to be a, standard evening at the hotel we went to the reception once more to inquire about the hours of this “entertainment”, but.. the reception had no idea of what we were talking about and said that the entertainment would commence in about 15 minutes. NO idea what we were asking about apparently. After some explanation, again, they just suggested us to come and eat our dinner between 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm if we wanted quiet............. And we wonder what the rest of our week at this hotel will be like...!!!!!More

Good for self catering NOT all inclusive
We came away with our friends who were another couple, ages between 25-29. We have stayed in better 3* but the only disappointment was the food and entertainment & evening atmosphere which wouldn't be a issue if you are self catering. The location and apartments are fab, pool area is nice always get sunbeds and two choices of a quiet and busy pool The rooms were very spacious and the apartment we stayed in was modern and had a big balcony over looking the quiet pool and part of the sea which was great The hotel is clean. The maids were fine, not the most thorougher but they replaced our towels and changed our sheets and toilet rolls, bins etc which is all that's needed. We had a walk in shower that leaked water so towels were always used after to soak the water up. Entertainment- not good but the entertainment staff work hard. It's All in Spanish which is fine but when it's karaoke nearly every night it's not entertaining. One night there was a magician on who failed a couple of tricks, it was cringe worthy. The entertainment board states that every Friday there is a "white pool party with live music" - no it's not it's karaoke on the stage through YouTube we thought it would be alright after a a few drinks but the screeching got too much, awful. As mentioned, it was Spanish so maybe we just didn't get it!? The entertainment and evening atmosphere was one of the main reasons this cheap holiday turned into a holiday which we may as well gone self catering or half board somewhere else because we didn't budget for the extra expense especially in the evenings there is nowhere nice and relaxing to sit all in a dark room Same for eating ,There's no where you can eat the food outside in the restaurant either, instead in a dark dingy boiling hot room ALWAYS queues at the bar and only one bar open at a time Pool area was nice there's two pools one very quiet and the other with bits of entertainment going out with music. The pool area is clean but the main pool could do with a refurb and the majority of sunbeds too need replacing but always got beds no matter what time of the day - we enjoyed the day time round the pool here though and the beach and amenities is only 10min walk away. We often stay in 3* cheap so we know not expect high standards but this hotel left us disappointed especially comparing to other 3* we have stayed in. However, only thing we would change is not going all inclusive so if your just after an nice cheap and clean place to stay, it's great! More
Just spent 2 weeks at the Morromar with my husband who has very limited mobility- I was assured this hotel would be suitable- it was situated at the top of a very steep hill - I couldn't have pushed him in his wheelchair up that hill so it was taxis all the time - also our apartment, which in all fairness was quite large with our bedroom patio door leading to the pool area, however to get to the apartment it was up a very steep slope - again I couldn't push him and the chair it was too steep so he had to get out and hold onto the chair to get himself up - the only supermarket on site or anywhere near was down 22 steps again not ideal it was also very expensive - the kitchen supplies were very basic just a 2 ring burner - no microwave - I requested a room with a walk in shower which apparently they didn't have it was just a shower over the bath - I had to help hubby in and out and sit in the bathroom while he was getting his shower to make sure he didn't slip - all in all the place could also do with an upgrade I would only rate it as 1 star and I think that's being quite generousMore
Been back 3 nights. Enjoyed our stay. Not used to all inclusive but we were not disappointed for our 4 nights. We have been away already this year so wanted somewhere not expensive and we're worried about food. Food was good and plentiful always something to try. Drinks at mealtimes were good I enjoyed the sangria on tap. Bar drinks were not for me so just had an Amstel or two. Entertainment was not our thing but kids there seem to enjoy it. I have been to the other end of Lanzarote front before but was pleasantly surprised at the location. We like to walk so strolled up and down the promenade. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were polite, room clean. Shower could be updated but was ok. We would return again for a short break in the future.More

Value for money
3rd time we have been here. It does what it says on the tin plain and simple. Clean and tidy food ok for 3 star, entertainment from the 80's but ok if you have kids. Entertainment team work hard and are all pleasant with plenty of daytime activity going on. Location is superb only 10 min walk to beach and small square with bars restaurants and shops. All in all its value for money no frills but very satisfactory.More
