The four pools are the stars of this big hotel. And there’s a sandy beach just across the road, too.
This vast, whitewashed hotel is home to a great pool scene – there are four within the palm-filled gardens. Plus Playa de los Pocillos’ sandy beach is just across the road.
Dining is big news here, with Canarian, Mexican and Asian food among your options. The Asian place gets plaudits for its sushi. And in the evenings, entertainment ranges from cabaret to live music.

Very big hotel , we prefer smaller but it was only a week and we enjoyed ..considering hotel fully booked plenty room at bars etc. although pools bit crowded with sunbeds not much room between them, and as we love the sun you need to pick area wisely as this time of year sun is up later and down early. Food was plentiful, fresh and something for everyone. Also plenty eateries outside hotel left or right out of back gate not far to walk and enjoyable walk as well. We had one cloudy day in the week but rented push bikes and explored the area and nearby villages. All staff friendly and helpful . More
Another fantastic stay - highly recommended
Our third trip to this fantastic hotel and the standards never fall! On arrival there was a small issue with our room and the reception team could not have been more helpful in moving us, I cannot praise them enough. All the staff are friendly and eager to help whatever your needs. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, the bars are busy but there in never a wait to be served. The hotel is really clean throughout and kept that way by a great team. We will be returning!More

Okay Stay at Riu
The ClubHotel Riu Paraiso is an okay hotel. I don’t think it merits the 4-4.5 star ratings that is given to it by the ratings agency. The rooms are okay but it needs updating. The interior and the furniture is old and needs to be replaced. The facility is in good condition but everything is old. For example several lounge chairs by the pool are old and worn out. The gym facilities are very small and they don’t have mats to work out on and have limited machines. The food is also okay but the menu is very repetitive and lacks variety. The staff is very friendly and they do their best to make your stay enjoyable but don’t come here with the expectation of staying in a 4-4.5 star hotel as you will be disappointed.More

We keep going back
Love this hotel, my wife and I have been three times. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is really clean. Food very good, especially in the Yashima theme restaurant. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools, or if you prefer a beach, thre is a long sandy one just cross the road. ideal for whatever type of holiday you want. will go back again.More
Booking a Riu hotel guarantees high standards. You can be sure of friendly, efficient staff, spotless cleanliness , good food and drinks and a very hardworking Animation team. This is true of this hotel and we had a very enjoyable week. Also a feature and a down side for some is the very cramped space around the pools and between tables in the dining room. At this time of the year it's not a big problem if you don't mind fellow guests within touching distance but in the high season, might be a little manic. Highlights for us were the Asian restaurant, a very good perfectly laid out room and Pepe, the highly camp and brilliantly funny Animator. We also enjoyed the help yourself drinks stations for soft drinks, beer , hot drinks and wine. Bottled water is given out at Reception and there is a large, free safe in the room. Our room as requested was in the main hotel on the top floor. The annexe is a bit of a trek if your room is on the far side and would not suit the less able. The quiet pool over there is nice though, with a swim up bar. The evening entertainment is a mix of the Animation team miming to show songs and professional acts. You can't fault the energy put in by the Animation team and some of the comedy, intentional or not! The daytime entertainment is varied and enthusiastic and Pepe leading the Aqua Aerobics in a female Baywatch outfit is a sight to see! Outside the hotel, accessed by a locked gate, is a promenade with a nice walk to shops and bars , overlooking the wide expanse of sandy beach. No need to keep your room on before departure as very good courtesy rooms are provided. Overall, a very good holiday in a hotel with great facilities and fantastic staff as we had expected and we would definitely stay in a Riu again.More
