This hotel has the perfect family set-up, with pools, activities and a trio of restaurants, plus extras like a cinema and bowling alley. The beach is in easy reach, too.
The focus falls on the pools at this place – there’s an activity one, a quiet number with Balinese beds*, and a waterslide pool. There’s loads on dry land, too – like kids’ clubs, sports and an Aerial Adventure course.
There’s a black-sand beach 10 minutes’ walk away. Back at base, you’ve got a handful of restaurants, a plush spa and a packed line-up of evening entertainment.

A good HV but not my fav
We travelled with our 13yr old son and stayed during the last two weeks of June in a superior room, check in was swift, efficient and informative. ROOM We payed extra for the superior room, it was bright, clean and spacious but was probably one of the few rooms in the complex without a sea view. So if it's a sea view you want please notify the hotel, we didn't mind but it's a bit of a blow when nearly every other room has a good view. I think we were block I possibly room 216. These rooms have a PS4 but it was never used by our son. The fridge is restocked daily and the slippers and dressing gowns comfortable. Air con was useful. FOOD The food was good and on a par with other HV hotels. Plenty of variety and genuinely always something tasty. Probably not as good as HV in Cyprus but similar to HV Ibiza and HV Algarve. I really enjoyed the lunch time bbq at the quiet pool but my wife couldn't tolerate the flies and preferred the lunch restaurant and it's lovely views. This restaurant hosts the speciality evening meals that you have to book. We did not enjoy our meals here at all and it does not compare to the comparative restaurants in holiday villages particularly Ibiza and Cyprus where the food was a class apart. POOLS Regularly closed throughout the fortnight due to code Browns. Unbelievable considering the lengths the hotel go to, to prevent these accidents. Poor parenting tbh. They are always busy which is to be expected given the number of guests staying in this massive hotel. Sun beds around the pool can be difficult to come buy after 0930. The reps organise water polo daily and weekly a large inflatable assault course appears. FACILITIES The football 5 aside pitch is decent, not as good as HV Algarve but ok. There is a paddle court, basketball hoop, volleyball court, table tennis, splash park and high wires down at the bottom of the hotel ideal to pass some time. SPA We received two free adult vouchers and paid 11 euros for our 13yr old. Thoroughly enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend it. First class facilities and a really good way of passing a couple of hours. GYM Good gym plenty of equipment. Spin bikes on the balcony, free weights and all the usual machines. No air con whenever I was there so it gets very warm even with the balcony doors open. ENTERTAINMENT The usual HV entertainment ideal for young children. At 13 yrs old our son didn't bother with it and preferred to play pool with his friend at night. We opted for the bar with live music each evening. To be honest we find it terribly boring at night unless you meet people to enjoy a drink and chat with. SUMMARY On paper the hotel has everything but it's probably a bit isolated and although enjoyable it is definitely for kids under 12. I probably prefer Ibiza HV due to the waterpark, location and flight times.More
WASTE OF MONEY
I had never been to a holiday village before and booked the holiday for myself, husband and 2 sons (16 and 11)- my sister and brother in law also booked with their children (11 & 6). We arrived to the hotel after 10pm and checked in. The hotel looked huge and very clean. We were given a map to find our room which was not an easy task- very little lighting and took us around 40 mins to locate the room only to find the key didn't work. Eventually got in- room was huge with separate rooms much to my delight! décor was a bit dated but that didn't concern me at all. Beds were rock hard but again didn't complain and just got on with it. We were left a brown bag with rolls in it on our arrival with bottles of water which were all for some reason left out of the fridge. Again wasn't a problem as we had eaten before arrival. As I mentioned I had never been to a holiday village but thought it would be the ideal place having older children. I had imagined a hotel which was packed full of activities for the kids- WRONG. The pools were fine, crowded yes but we went during the summer holidays so was expecting it to be busy and to have a problem getting sun loungers. Pools were shut a couple of times due to 'code browns' but this was down to the parents as the hotel provided free swim nappies. There were a few competitions on for the boys through the day and they went to play football with the reps most afternoons. Most of the kids entertainment was outside during the hottest part of the day. The football was held at 1pm and the kids shows started after dinner in an area that was not shaded at all. There was nothing for the older boys to do at night time- football pitches were closed, kids shows were aimed at young kids. There is a games room where you had to pay for everything with shows out the front which again cost money. Despite being told there was only one hour a day where food wasn't available, there was nothing after dinner apart from vending machines. I am not a fussy eater and neither are my kids however I would go as far as to say the food was inedible. Really badly labelled and a really strange choice at dinner! most of the food was undercooked and bright pink sausages seemed to be a staple. There is a kids corner which serves the same food as the adults with the exception of providing chips. All of us ended up really sick at one point of the 'holiday'. Entertainment was completely dire. 2 entertainment teams both as bad as each other if im completely honest. I found evenings a complete bore surrounded by bored kids which on a nearly £4000 holiday I did not expect. I don't go on holiday with massive expectations. I just expect a clean room, food I can eat and be able to chill out as the kids are entertained and enjoying themselves. This holiday failed on all those points to the extent where I would never book another holiday village again!More
Fantastic 10 night stay with two children aged 1 and 3
When we looked at booking this holiday i had my concerns about previous reviews on this hotel, namely the hygiene etc... what can i say? I need not have worried and i really cant relate to some of the negative reviews on this hotel written previously. In my own opinion here is our review... Rooms - large, spacious, excellent air con and comfy beds. Travel cot provided by hotel - v comfy. We stayed in room A300 - perfect overlooking quiet pool and sea - but far enough away not to haveth entertainment right in your face in the evenig. Food - super yummy! kids loved it, as did i - so much choice and themed evenings - beef ribs - yum! as for the puddings - wowser! Facililties - clean everywhere! Pool side is super clean and the pools themselves were sparkling away! The pools were closed temporarily on a few occassions owing to 'accidents' and we had a letter posted to us to remind that babies needed to wear swim nappies in the pool to avoid these accidents - therefore closures were not the hotel's fault - i was impressed they were so quick to act. No funny tummies or illnesses had by us. Kids club - fantastic group of reps, namely Jordan who my kids adored, as well as Sam and Sam from football academy. One thing i would change (if i could!) would be for dinner service to start marginally earlier than 6:30pm. Honestly can not fault this hotel and can not wait to return.More
A Great Family Holiday had by all
Hi, I have just come back from a week in the Holiday Village in Tenerife. We had an amazing time here and the kids loved every day here and did not want to leave. The weather was amazing and the resort was spot on with everything. The accommodation that we stayed in was clean, spacious, the cleaning service was spot on. It was nice that every day we returned from a day out the fridge always had 2 cans of Pepsi and 2 cans of San Miguel and also a large bottle of water. I thought this was a nice touch by the hotel and it was all complimentary. The food in my opinion was great, it was all varied and you had options where you wanted to eat at lunch and dinner time. There was plenty of food available and the staff where constantly replenishing dishes. We stayed at the Quiet pool with the kids which was right close to the snack bar which offered refreshments and a good range of snacks if you did not want to go to the restaurant for lunch. It was very relaxing by this pool which suited us. There was also a pool area which had music etc and was more lively, there was something for everybody. My kids went to the kids club everyday and loved it, the staff were awesome and there was plenty for them to do and keep them entertained. The animation team were great too, the energy and effort put into the shows were great and we enjoyed every night we attended. All in all it was an awesome Family Halliday, the kids had an amazing time which was the main thing for me, but also we enjoyed it too. I am glad I went in October as it was quiet and there was no fighting for loungers, queuing up for food, etc which suited us. If you have a family I would recommend this resort as it has everything for the kids and even the adults. If I was a couple, it is a large resort there were many couples here, maybe because it was quiet and the kids had gone back to school. But I would not go to a resort like a holiday village at peak time if you are a couple as it will be crazy with kids and if you want a chilled holiday you may not get it at this resort in the school holidays. We loved it, Will defo recommend to our friends and family. Hope this helps people and if you go, I hope you have the same awesome trip that my family had. 👍More
