Nestled in pine woods close to Yllas centre, the Hotel Snow Princess offers up great views in a picturesque location.

This place looks out over a pine-cloaked fell, so wintery views are a permanent fixture. It’s in a handy location, too, with slopes nearby, and ski tracks leading from the doorstep to Äkäslompolo village, 5 minutes away.

The hotel mixes modern and traditional décor. Outside, glass and wood dominate, while inside, everything centres round a flagstoned lobby bar. Rooms are simple, and they all come with their own sauna.

This hotel comes with a SnowClub, where families can get involved with entertainment and activities. You can join the SnowClub entertainment team for indoor and outdoor activities like snowman-building, tobogganing and Christmas crafts. There's plenty of entertainment, too, including live shows, festive parties and a Christmas-themed silent disco.

Your Itinerary

ARRIVE IN KITTILA

You’ll get a traditional cooked English breakfast on your flight to Lapland. After landing at Kittila airport, you’ll pick up your thermal clothing before you take the transfer to your hotel in Yllas. Once you’ve arrived, the rest of the day’s yours to suss out your snowy surroundings.
SNOW VILLAGE AND SANTA

There’s lots on the agenda today. First up, you’ll get a big dose of Lappish culture at the snow village. This is the place where you’ll have your husky-sleigh ride taster session before decorating cookies and making Christmas ornaments. Next, you’ll zoom through the snow on a toboggan ride as you make your way to the big event – your meeting with Santa.
FREE TIME/FESTIVE FINALE

Today’s free for you to explore at your own leisure, or book in an extra TUI experience – just make sure you book before you go so you don’t risk missing out. If you’re staying for three nights, you’ll hand your thermal clothing back today before you head to your festive finale this evening, where you’ll tuck into a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Meanwhile, those staying for four nights will have a free evening.
FLY HOME/FESTIVE FINALE

Whether you stayed for three or four nights, you’ll get a festive Christmas dinner on your flight back home. For those on a three-night trip, it’s time to head back to the airport ready for your flight home today. Or, if you’ve still got another night left, you’ll have another free day to fit in anything you missed the day before. Search for Yllass for all the options. Later, you’ll hand in your thermal clothing before heading to your festive finale, which will feature a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

It’s home time for those staying for four nights today, as you’ll be heading back to the airport ready for your flight home.

SnowClub
This is one of our SnowClub properties, which means Captain T will be on hand for plenty of festive fun. He’ll entertain little guests with activities like snowdog-building, Christmas-themed storytelling and arts and crafts. Plus, he’ll be hosting special festive parties and sing-alongs. Family-friendly quizzes and games are part of the line-up, too.
Buffet restaurant*
The snow outside instantly gives you the Christmas feel, but wait until you see the buffet restaurant. There's tinsel wrapped around the ceiling, red and green festive chairs and Christmas trees sprinkled around the room. There are options for little ones too.
Lobby bar*
Open-plan to reception, with leather armchairs and dining tables. The bar doesn't just provide drinks but snacks too.

Duplex Family Room
These duplex family rooms sleep 5, with 2 twin bedrooms and a child bed in the lounge. They have a separate bathroom with a shower.
Twin Room
These twin rooms can sleep up to 3 people with an extra child bed in the bedroom. Your room will be found in the main building and it has heating and a satellite TV too. Plus you'll also have a private sauna. Just so you know, twin rooms are 16m².

Paid for a superior room from Friday until Tuesday, didn't get the room cleaned until Monday and when I have just arrived back it says my room has been cleaned but all they did was drop clean towels off never made the bed or cleaned the coffee cups ( which I have been doing Each day ) I went and complained at reception but they said they don't clean the rooms over these proof weekend and when I said about the standards of cleaning ie not making of the beds and leaving dirty cups they offered me new cups . I have paid nearly £200 per ngt to stay here which I believe to be a price for a high standard this hotel definitely does not offer that .

Beautiful, peaceful, serene

Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff were so efficient, helpful and friendly! The restaurant and food were so clean. Room was lovely. Shame on the owners for charging €1 for a small ramekin of mayonnaise. Not all kids like ketchup and that was the only free condiment on offer.

The hotel was lovely and cosy, had everything you needed. We were there 4 nights 5 days. Its been said before the rooms are basic but they have everything you need. They need to be sturdy with all the people, cases, boots and suits that come in and out. The staff are so helpful and very pleasant, they went out there way to help us. We were with TUI and can't fault them, the reps were great on hand to give hints and tips, and tell us when the Northen Lights were out. That was some night 🌙 🌟 Thank you all.

Amazing, the hotel was lovely with a nice sauna, basic but you’re not in the room that much. I love that there was board games in the bar area, free sledges outside overall the best holiday we’ve ever had. No complaints over the food, always plenty of choice but we’re not fussy eaters. Hoping to return next December.

A lovely family friendly hotel

Stayed for 3 nights on a package holiday with TUI. Arrived at the hotel around lunchtime, unfortunately our room wasn’t ready, check in is at 4pm, so we headed upstairs for lunch. Once our room was ready we headed upstairs, no lift available so had to carry cases up. Our room was a family room, with a mezzanine floor. The steps to this are very steep, so take care with children. There is a gate at the top. Rooms have a fridge, large wardrobe, kettle and tea/coffee. Large bathroom with excellent shower, and sauna. Beds were very comfortable, and heating was adjustable. Food in hotel was excellent, lots of choice, with tea/coffee and water available, plus juice at breakfast. Bar in restaurant and also cafe bar downstairs with snacks available. Small shop area with souvenirs beside reception, and also a pool table, air hockey and a couple of other arcade machines. Large grounds and loads of sledges available for kids. Short walk downhill to the supermarket, giant reindeer and swing. Would return to this hotel again
