Seating, luggage and upgrades
Upgraded seating on your flight, extra luggage allowance, and Champagne on pre-order – just some of the ways to make your TUI Airways journey as exciting as the end destination. We’re talking extra legroom on the plane, Premium seating with prosecco before take-off, preordering your inflight meal, and plenty more besides. Keep reading to find out how you can get your holiday off to a high-flying start.
Seating options
From selecting extra legroom to booking Premium seating, there are plenty of ways to ramp up your TUI Airways flight. Whichever you opt for, you’ll get early online check-in – it’ll open 14 days before your flight departs, instead of 48 hours. You can upgrade your seats via Manage My Booking.
Premium seating
When you book Premium seating, you’ll get a 20-inch seat, plus a seat pitch that’s at least six inches bigger than the standard. Plus, you can look forward to perks like fast-track security, airport lounge access, Prosecco before take-off, a four-course meal and a Rituals® amenity kit.
*Fast-track is not available May 2026 to October 2026.
Extra Space seats
These seat pitches are at least eight inches bigger than the standard. They’re close to emergency exits or behind bulkheads or dividing walls, giving you extra space and often extra legroom, too.
Extra Legroom seats
These pitches are a minimum of two inches bigger than the standard, so you’ll have a little more room to stretch your legs.
Food and drink
Inflight menu
For short and mid-haul flights, you can choose from a menu of light bites, drinks, hot food and sandwiches on our short and mid-haul flights of up to seven hours. And on our long-haul flights – of seven hours or more – you'll get a free bottle of water when you board, plus a main meal and a lighter snack before landing. Your main meal will be served with a glass of wine, followed by your choice of tea or coffee.

Your luggage
Luggage allowance and extra space
Our packages include at least 20kg of checked-in luggage when you fly both ways with TUI Airways. If you’ve booked a TUI BLUE, Sensatori by TUI BLUE or Holiday Village package with TUI Airways flights, you’ll get 25kg of luggage allowance per person. Couples who’ve booked one of our wedding packages will get 25kg hold luggage each when flying with TUI Airways. If you’ve upgraded to Premium on long-haul flights with TUI Airways, you’ll also get 25kg of luggage, regardless of the holiday type. Just so you know, all Marella Cruises and all Marella Cruise & Stay holidays have a 20kg luggage allowance per person.

Sports equipment
Avoid hassle at the airport by making sure your sports gear is taken care of before you go. You’ll need to give us a call to book this - it's 01 693 7700 for the Republic of Ireland, or 028 90 389 387 for Northern Ireland. You can bring everything from skis and golf clubs to bikes and watersports equipment. We can also take care of musical instruments for you.
