Fly direct from Dublin and Cork airport for glamorous nights and sun-drenched beach days with holidays to Marbella. A celebrity hot-spot, Marbella gives you the chance to rub shoulders with the rich and famous in the most exclusive clubs. And there are plenty of beautiful beaches for the mornings-after.
Marbella is known as a playground for the rich and famous. Designer stores line the streets, and you'll see more than a few luxury yachts in the port. There's no shortage of upmarket bars and exclusive nightclubs. Just check the menu before you order any drinks. They can be very expensive, and many places have a minimum spend policy.
Marbella Old Town is a peaceful little neighbourhood away from the tourist bustle. Stroll along the cobblestoned streets lined with historic buildings. Then relax with a coffee and a snack at the quaint cafés and restaurants. Keep your eyes peeled for The Church of St Mary along Plaza de la Iglesia. The baroque-style church has an impressive red stone entrance, and was built back in 1618. Feel free to explore the interior, where you'll see stained-glass windows and a giant golden altar that reaches to the church roof.
The daily catamaran cruises between Marbella and Puerto Banus are one of the best ways to experience the Golden Mile coastline. Cruises last 30 minutes each way and leave on the hour from 11am to 4pm. They start again at 5.30pm and run to 6.30pm. Pick-up is at Marbella Marina, which is just a 5-minute walk from the main beach resorts and hotels. After docking in Puerto Banus, passengers can explore the local shops and bars before jumping on the next catamaran. Alternatively, relax on deck and wait to set sail for the return to Marbella Marina.
