Holidays to Costa Teguise make the most of the island charms of the Canaries. Soft sand beaches and great surf decorate the coast, and the town's restaurants, bars, and entertainments ensure things are lively at night too.
Costa Teguise is a seaside resort that has never lost its personality, even though it's grown in popularity. The beaches are the primary draw, but that’s not all Costa Teguise has to offer. Whitewashed buildings gather close to a palm-fringed shore, and the streets are filled with restaurants, bars and shops. In fact, it’s such a beloved Canarian destination that the King of Spain has a summer residence here.
Costa Teguise offers many excellent beaches, all backed by a lengthy restaurant-studded promenade. There's the popular Playa Bastian, where stone walls protect you from the sea breeze. It's ideal for families. Try Playa Jablillo, with a horseshoe shape that creates gentler waters. Perhaps the most beloved, though, is Cucharas, a soft sand stretch that's known for its watersports.
The leisure activities in Costa Teguise offer plenty of options for kids and adults alike. The Costa Teguise Aquapark is perfect for the former, thanks to its thrilling slides, pools and playgrounds. For the latter, there's an 18-hole golf course. It has views of the nearby volcano and out to the sea.
Only a 15-minute drive away is the capital of Lanzarote, Arrecife. Spend the day touring the castles of this small city, such as Castillo de San Jose with its accompanying art museum. Stroll to El Charco’s lagoon, and dine on seafood for lunch at the waterfront restaurants. And give your credit card a workout at the shops and boutiques at the Marina Shopping Centre.
