You can expect non-stop activities, loads of pools and an adventure splash park at this five-star hotel.
Holiday Village Rhodes gets top marks for its pool scene – you’ve got lively ones, quiet ones, and a massive splash park with slides and a lazy river. As for bedrooms, they’re really smart, with design-mag décor.
The restaurant count includes a trio of à la cartes, and when it comes to activities, stuff like kayaking, football and tennis is on the agenda. The beach is only a five-minute walk away, too.

Honest review - but not great
Booked here after reading the rave reviews our thinking being it would be the last year our son would appreciate "kids club" activities with him going to high school in September, and the premium price assuring us of a quality holiday for the family all-round. As we came closer to departure date we were increasingly getting concerned with regular mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, but optimistically wrote them off as overly critical picky holidaymakers. The good - the first choice young reps work very hard and the kids clubs although not spectacular in terms of activity do keep the children busy and give them the chance to make friends with others of their own age. The hotel staff are also very hard working, maybe overworked it seems, often looking shattered, sweaty and tired. (especially the staff in the snack bars and drink bars). The accommodation is attractive without blowing you away as a 5* rating, but we'd seen plenty of pictures and videos so knew what we could expect. The bad - cleanliness, our room was cleaned almost every day, but it soon became apparent that our bedding wasn't getting changed. We knew this, as my nose got burnt and bled on the 2nd/3rd day leaving blood stains on the pillow cases, this was still there until we stripped the bedding ourselves and dumped it on the bedroom floor on day 9 of our stay. I think the housekeeping knew, because the maid when she next saw us kept apologising in broken english. The restaurant whilst having quite a varied choice of food was a nightmare waiting to happen, open buffets with unsupervised children's dirty fingers in everything, picking things up and putting them back. The self service ice cream station was the worst for this, I only used once - didn’t return after witnessing child after child, prodding and licking the ice cream tubs and scoops to get their fill. The hotel should really address this but I assume self service is cheaper than employing somebody to attend the food stations as we’ve seen at other 5 star all-inclusives. Hot food and ice cream at least...? The snack bar whilst having very attentive and friendly staff also could do with some training, I was twice handed croissants and pain au chocolat by hand over the counter - surely it wouldn’t be difficult to use tongs or protective gloves? The Irish bar was quite professionally run it seemed, although the quality of spirits and cocktails was very poor. The outside bars however were somewhat lackadaisical with washing glasses and a quick rinse under a tap seemed to be the procedure - had to ditch or leave drinks on occasions, but at the time they were free so “hey-ho”, just went back to ask for a clean refill. The under 7s evening entertainment looked fab, unfortunately the same couldn’t be said for older children. My son was bored and so if he wasn’t at the kids club, it was an early night each night in front of the tv. There’s no quality adult entertainment here, there was some attempt but amateur hour does come to mind. Anyway we made the most of time away from work, and returned home relatively unscathed. Thirty six hours after getting home however I was struck by fever/chills and diarrhoea. Ten days and 14lbs weight loss later the hospital test was confirmed as campylobacter. Unlucky? Maybe but I saw the signs, just plonking two hand sanitisers at the entrance to the restaurant seems like a half -hearted attempt at covering themselves in case of problems. Not happy, and final straw on a very disappointing holiday. More
Stunning... best holiday yet!
Two weeks in relax area and my god did we relax! First and foremost the staff and reps amazing . Their engagement and genuine care is what makes this place special. From Billy in the swim up bar, the chef at the snack bar and the brilliant reps. (Laura and George especially) The place is well laid out and the 2 min walk under the underpass is no issue and we enjoyed coming away from the hussle and noise of activity some days to chill in the relax pool and whiter evenings. The food is always top quality with lots of choice through each setting. There are various themes each night and we were never disappointed, even with our typical fussy 10 year old child. My favourite night was Gala night.... the shrimps were stunning. The restaurants were added bonus but the Mexican was maybe a tad quantity over the quality. The Italian was the best and we had our best meal there too. Again the staff here were the real stars of the show. There is great choice of drinks.. especially the cocktails. We had great fun working our way through the lists and sampling different ones. Different bars did give stronger quantities tho so you have to judge how squiffy you may or may not become after a few! We did various trips... Rhodes butterfly valley... bay to bay...halki...7 springs. All I have separate reviews on if your interested. Each trip was special and were always well organised and full of spectacular views and lots of fun. We also climbed the mountain behind the resort which was great. You need to go in morning and takes around 1.45 to return down. The views are out if thus world. Just remember to leave a souvenir on the makeshift poles up on the top . The rooms were lovely.. the mini bar being well stocked and always a great sight to see on a evening. We had slight issue with blocked sink but was sorted asap. Can't describe how amazing this place is and would love to return in the near future. Would recommend this place for families who want their child entertained as you relax and chill. More
Good but could be better
Party of 25 of us traveled on 26 October for my daughters wedding. Flight was good and rep told us we arrived at hotel about 45 minutes early than normal so in room for just after 11pm. Restaurant was closed but sandwiches left in fridge, did not look to to nice but that was down to long life bread but filling was nice. We managed to go to bar a had couple of beers before closing at 12pm. We booked swim up room in relax which very nice modern, my has own cleaning business so if she says it clean must be good. Lots of draw space and reasonable wardrobe size. Not many coat hangers but seems maid next morning and supplied 6 more. Maid was elder lady and did great job for us. We had room 5801 swim up which was perfect. Out of the 2 blocks using our pool 5100 swim ups got no sun all day our block got sun from about midday but because we had end room no partion so sun came in from side at 10am. It is about 3 minutes walk from relax reception to activity reception, but due to wife having weak leg muscles we walkout onto road to activity reception and if going straight to buffet restaurant was quicker., the tunnel between 2 sides goes down quite steep and steep walk back up other side. Buffet restaurant was as good we have had any where in our travels. Seen on here breakfast to boring due to choice, both me and my wife tried to think of something that you could have added but never found any. Only used buffet restaurant at 3 times once again excellent choice. Night time sitting offered live cooking station plus lots of other foods. Salad selection also fresh and lots of choice. 2 Soups every night never had one I did not like. Alacrte restaurant booking is one of the negative of the holiday. You have to be on app just before 8am gives you choice of 3 sittings but if your like me older and older phone and filled in info to book came up fully booked. After 4 days managed to get booking for Itilan restaurant, turned up at 6.30 and told we had no booking my phone was back in room in relax. Girl at front of restaurant did not beleave and would not let us in. Went to activity reception and found assistant food manager also told me we had no booking. After a lot of arguing and refusing to move until it was sorted, got in on7.30 sitting after my son also had same problem and restaurant manager printed him 4 tickets for alacrte restaurant there and then. Eventually got 3 others booked with him. I seen on here so many people have same problem and hotel manager replys saying will contact relevant manager to improve services. I have been reading reviews on here since August 16 when we booked but nothing done about it. Do not expect management to reply to my review now. My daughter wedding was excellently organised. Wedding co ordinator was brilliant. Only had booking for 6.30 sitting in Greek restaurant and we had restaurant from 8 pm for excellent wedding meal. My other concern was poor quality of spirits, all made in Greece in one distillery taste was terrible and weak. Vap beer was good. Overall good holiday but would not return due to restaurant booking system and poor quality spirits.More
Stayed here for a weeks all inclusive with my boyfriend. We had a lovely time; the staff in all areas (Bar, restaurant, Reception etc) were all great, friendly and helpful. As well as the main restaurant they also have 3 separate themed ones, Italian, Greek and American, as part of your all inclusive you could dine in each one once during your stay at no extra cost, in each you had a 3 course meal and the food was fantastic, it was a real treat. The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice view. Only issue we had with it was there was really heavy rainfall one night and the ceiling in our hotel room started dripping in two places, although this was a bit concerning the Receptionists were brilliant and moved us to a different room quickly and without any fuss, the room we moved to was even nicer than the first one! The only downside is the hotel is VERY child orientated so there isn’t much to do apart from I think one adult only activity a day or go out somewhere. Even though it is school term time we were surprised by the amount of children that were there. Apart from that we would highly recommend this hotel.More
