Alcudia holidays are staged on Majorca's northern coastline, and come complete with one of the island's finest stretches of beach.
An impressive 12-kilometre-long stretch of sand means beach holidays are easy in Alcudia. This big, modern resort’s humming with life thanks to lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It’s also got an old Roman walled town which was Majorca's former capital, so there’s plenty to do between bouts of sunbathing.
This place has a trio of styles. The old town’s crisscrossed with tiny, paved streets and architecture dating back to the 14th century. Then at the western end you’ve got Puerto Alcudia, an old fishing village with restaurants, and shops lining the seafront. Bringing it all into the 21st century is the modern beach, packed with watersports, bars and boat trips.
In Alcudia, when it’s time to eat, the palm-lined waterfront comes up trumps with lots of international restaurants to keep every palate and pocket happy. If authentic dishes from Spain are more your style, stroll to the picturesque harbourside for a tapas lunch or platters of ocean-fresh seafood. Alternatively, save your Euros for Alcudia’s Tuesday and Sunday markets.
