View All DealsHolidays to Needham's Point offer the perfect Caribbean beach holiday. Located on the south-west tip of Barbados, it's famous for calm crystal waters, white sand, and a collection of luxurious beach resorts and hotels.
Needham's Point is the quintessential Caribbean beach resort. Expect to hear the sea gently lapping against the white sands, and long days full of sunshine. This is where you come to relax, recharge, and unwind. So get ready for lazy days and rum cocktails in the cool shade of the palm trees. There are plenty of holiday resorts that work hard to create a laidback vibe, but Needham's Point does it in effortless style.
Needham's Point has several interesting historical sites to explore. Start with The Drill Hall and St Anne's Fort. These 19th-century buildings were used as military outposts and barracks, but are now popular tourist attractions for visitors interested in the area's rich history. There's a military cemetery here, and a museum behind the fort. The museum has one of the world's best collections of historical weaponry. Admission to all the sites is free, although donations are always welcome. Needham's Point is a small resort, with everything in walking distance of the main hotels and beach.
Needham's Point has four lighthouses that guided ships and boats into the harbour for hundreds of years. Today, the lighthouses are popular tourist attractions. The most impressive tower stands at the southern tip of Carlisle Bay, which is just to the eastern side of the beach. It was built in 1855 and is the second-oldest lighthouse on the island.
