here now and hotel is great rooms big and cleaned everyday staff friendly and pool area good and clean it is a saltwater pool but to be honest far better than chlorine would Defoe stay here again you do have to pay 100 leva on checking in but is retired if nothing is broken this is an honest review don't expect 5 star but good base for sleeping and lounging by the poolMore
Arrived in the early hours on a Tuesday morning after a long flight to arrive and be left at the side of the road with out any direction were to go. Finally got to reception and handed loads of paper work to be signed a list of the contents of your apartment and prices if they were damaged or broken. Got to the room and lots of stuff of the list were already missing. You have to give 100 euro deposit before your giving your key. Went to sleep after a long night/morning to wake up to the whole apartment covered in ants including bed covers. Reported it to be told it was because I have left food out. I was in the room for less than 6 hours and my cases were not even opened yet let alone have time to buy food and leave it out. The second day the ants were still there but only on the floors. A friend also stayed in efir but in a different block so washed dressed and ate in her apartment. The pool was a hazard to say the least the plastic drains that surround the pool were so fragile that if step on them they would break my friend stepped on one and her leg went right through it and hurt her leg bad. Through out the week about 6 people fell threw it. It was reported but the staff just laughed. The under water lights came out and were floating on top on the water luckily there was an electrician who was staying there. He removed everyone from the pool and fixed it the best he could with no tools. The women at the bar was the only nice worker there she was polite and always give you a hello. That was my 3rd time in sunny beach in 4 years and I would never stay here again. The majestic hotel is a palace compared to the place. More
This hotel official rating is a 1 star (silly us didn't notice when booking) so I didn't expect much. However you do expect some sort of service. Hotel was very basic, pool is salt water...sun covers the bathing area after around 4/5pm. Rooms were kept clean. However, everything in our room just broke...and before hand you are given a list of prices which you must pay if you break or loose something (prices are ridiculous for what they are) firstly on about the 3rd day our curtain rail completely fell off as my partner tried to open the curtains in the morning. Our bath plug didn't work...the fridge was leaking. The outside chairs on the balcony were also broken. One morning we woke up to thousands of ants on our floor (food was not left out) we went down to reception to notify them and the man was useless...he said they had never had ants before and didn't do anything about it or even try. We had to get rid of the ants ourselves. Receptionists speak very little English. Our curtain rail was fixed without charge (I should think so) which was fine, however they decided to charge us for 2 towels that had gone missing...the 2 towels we had to use to get rid of the ants after boiling them...so the maid probably took those towels. However they still charged us and trying to explain to the lady at reception would have just been too difficult. I would not go back to this hotel. It was the cheapest we could find at this time however it was still way too expensive for what it was. Maybe we just had a lot of bad luck with the hotel but would not return. On the other hand the location of the hotel is fantastic...very close to everything...so maybe book a hotel near :)More
Great Budget Hotel...
Just got back from a fantastic 2 weeks in the Efir 1 apartments Sunny beach, Rooms are basic but fine for a base,Rooms cleaned on a daily basis, hob, kettle toaster to cook but to be honest we ate out most nights, Pool area is nice, be up early for a sunlounger in the prime spots but thats the same at most hotels, Well located in the north end of the resort, 5 min walk to the beach 15 min walk to Flower Street, shop on same block, Aldo supermarket 5 min walk away, Really cheap bars round the back of the hotel.. Hotel Lira 1lv a beer & meals really cheap, family of 4 all had main meals. beer & milkshakes ect £16.. on the front strip its more expensive but still slightly cheaper than home to eat out.., All summed up for the money we paid we are over the moon with the holiday & hotel overall..More
