    This historical hotel has a boutique feel and a harbour-front location. And its elegant restaurant is first class.

    This grand old hotel had a makeover in 2008 and is now one of Dubrovnik’s most prestigious places to stay. It comes with a pool, a buffet restaurant, and a bar with award-winning cocktails.

    You’ll find the Lapad next to a peaceful harbour. There’s a small pebble beach 10 minutes’ walk away, and it’s about a half-hour walk – 5 minutes in a cab – to the old town.

      The pool is a great size which is screened by walls and gardens giving you the hint of privacy. Comfy sunloungers and parasols edge the pool and it's open from May to October.

      These light and airy rooms have a modern look and feel. Your room will be air-conditioned with free Wi-Fi available - there's also a minibar, satellite TV and safety deposit box - you'll also find facilities to make tea and coffee. There's outside space too as you'll have a balcony or terrace. Just so you know - these rooms are in the newer annexe building of the hotel. Also, if there are three of you travelling, you'll be allocated a room with an extra bed.

      These modern twin rooms have been simply styled in calm colours. There's air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi in your room and outside there's a balcony or terrace with partial views of the Adriatic Sea.     Nice little place. Rooms are plain but quite comfortable. Shout out to the staff who are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is solid too. It’s a 35 minute walk or 10 minute car to downtown. Would stay again.

    We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lapad. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped and breakfast was very good. The staff are efficient and helpful and the bar was a pleasant place to relax. We tried dinner in the restaurant one night and were unimpressed but hotel dining is seldom memorable. There is a attractive swimming pool with plenty of loungers both around the pool and in the garden. Walking along the road was rather nerve-wracking as there is no pavement. I would confidently recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Dubrovnik

    Stopped here for one week after a one week cruise and have to say could not fault this hotel at all. The staff, fantastic we used the bar and restaurant every day and they always rememberes us and our drinks. The rooms are modern and spacious, a little confusing with the lifts but you soon get used to it, would I go back or recommend this hotel, ye in a heartbeat.

    Have to agree with the positive comments of previous visitors . The minor aspects of this hotel to me were minimal compared with the hundreds of places I have stayed in and I am amazed with the comments of some picky beggars on here .The breakfasts were great ..did not have diner and I have to say that the staff were very good ..some folk may have problems with the rather reserved nature of most Croations . Can I explain that the bus tickets are valid for an hour so you can take a bus from the front door get off at the top of the hill and get a bus to the old town....simples

    Now, the hotel interior is a tad bland. Efficient but uninspiring. Our room was a squeeze. Clean (Comfy bed), staff invariably open, engaging and pleasant. Twin beds in our room were converted on request to a double bed. My wife's request you understand! The hotel as has been said in previous reviews was perhaps just that bit too far from the old City to walk. The no 6 Bus however will take you there from just (10 mins walk) outside the hotel. Taxis are readily available although pricey. The Lapad is nicely located for beaches (pebble) Sunset and Copacabana. Good thing is you are just that bit tucked away from the main tourist areas so one feels a little less "touristy". There's half a dozen or so restaurants within a 10 minute walk. All in all a decent base for your time in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik. We had a lovely time. Thank you Team Hotel Lapad.
