Onboard your Marella Cruises ship

How old do I need to be to go on a Marella Cruise shore excursion or leave the ship on my own?

Guests aged 18 and over can travel on a shore excursion or go ashore independently without a parent or guardian.

Guests aged 16-17 may go ashore independently if a parent or guardian has provided consent through the onboard consent process, which can be completed at Reception once on board.

Unless they're taking part in a specially organised teen tour, guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on Marella Cruises shore excursions. Please note that children under 16 cannot be left onboard alone and must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.
