The waterpark here offers up a range of slides for all the family to enjoy. Choose from the Hydro Tube 1400 tunnel slide, The Kamikaze, the multi-lane racer and the mighty Spin Bowl. There are dedicated pools for little ones, too.
Just so you know, there are some age and height restrictions you need to be aware of for the slides here.
Age and height restrictions:
- all slides have a minimum age of 10 years and minimum height of 1.2m.
- the Wave Ride has a minimum age of 12 years and minimum height of 1.2m.
You'll find this place on the second floor of the beachfront building. It serves up Italian favourites for dinner, with panoramic views of the sea. You'll need to book in advance to eat here. The dress code is trousers for men.
The hotel runs its own kids' club for little ones to get involved with during the day.

Another great holiday at Atlantica Akti Zeus
Returned here for the 2nd year in a row. Enjoyed it just as much as 1st time round. Arrived just after midnight, cold snack waiting in the room. Also bottle wine and bowl of fruit, note welcoming us back - nice touch. This hotel is immaculate - staff work so hard in all areas keeping everything clean and replenished. Rooms made up and towel changes can be done daily if required. Staff are a real credit to the hotel. Great food, plenty of choice, snack bar also offering plenty during the day. Every guest is given a voucher for free 15 minute massage in the Spa - take up the offer, it was lovely, even booked in for additional massage, heaven, so tranquil and relaxing. Bus stop straight outside the hotel into Heraklion or about 20 minute walk to main Amadoura strip of shops and restaurants. Small shop over the road which is cheaper than shop within the hotel. Spent most of the time on the sandy beach, although there is a 5 Euro charge for 2 sunbeds and umbrella - well worth it though. There is a rocky shelf entering the sea, once over it though the seabed is sandy and the water is lovely and clear. Yes there is a power station right on the doorstep, but you only know its there if you choose to look at it!!! Sitting on the beach, looking out to the sea, picturesque. Would have no hesitation in going back again and again.More
Excellent Choice of Hotel
There were five adults celebrating two 50th birthdays so we emailed ahead and asked the hotel for rooms with interconnecting doors - we had a garden view low floor and could not see the power station but I should imagine high floor would have a clear view, the power station does not spoil your stay whatsoever. The Hotel itself is one of the best hotels I've stayed in Greece. The reception staff and all the staff are so very friendly and really enhance the enjoyment of your stay whilst on holiday. The hotel manager is very attentive and makes sure you are enjoying yourself and asks if everything is ok. Nikos and Manalos looked after us, as did Arthur. The all inclusive food at this hotel is first class as is the service, so much choice and everything is delicious. Highly recommend the Greek Grill. Everywhere in the hotel is spotless and so clean. Can highly recommend this hotel. The pool bar is useful when you choose to use the sunbeds on the beach which are only 5 euros for 2 beds and 1 umbrella. The spa facilities are so relaxing and we enjoyed a couple of massages. Cannot wait to book and go back.More
This is a very nice hotel in a very nice location. The power station, like the wasps, disappear when ignored. The beach is nice, mostly sandy and long. While it has a rock "shelf" just into the water it is mostly soft and it disappears a little further into the sea. The food here is right up there with the best I've ever experienced on all inclusive and the restaurant is set beautifully just above the beach, with lovely views over the Mediterranean. The snack bar is much lower in quality but good for ice cream, drinks and...well, snacks. With kids we've found ourselves keeping away from the pool, preferring the beach. But the pools are nice and well kept, if a little busy. The location is quiet but within easy reach of a small town and the bustling city of Heraklion, from where you can get a bus anywhere on the island, or a ferry to other islands. The waterpark is small but the slides are all reasonable. The area was always quiet during our stay (early October). The staff are efficient and friendly. Helpful on the few occasions we've asked for something. I don't make a habit of going to a hotel more than once but wouldn't be upset at being forced to stay here again. Not perfect but definitely one of the nicer places I've stayed at.More

LATE SUMMER BREAK
We booked All Inclusive via Tui. The standard of hotel is excellent, we had a modern family room although only two of us. There are some "Swim up" rooms. The max no of floors is four. Food is of an excellent standard, buffet style, with plenty of choice, with plenty of grilled meats not covered in gravy or sauce if that is what you prefer. In between meals there are cafe/bar areas and small outside "food area" to mop up anyone who misses breakfast lunch etc. There are Greek and Asian themed nights as well as an Italian restaurant (fee payable) and you are allowed one night in the Greek Restaurant as part of your stay. I haven't the skill or knowledge to rate the alcoholic free drinks/ cocktails but there is a huge selection. There is an on site Waterpark, free of charge to all inclusive packages. Internet is free The only slight negatives are it is a little isolated, but a cheap bus ride to Amoudara and Heraklion, with buses every 20 mins from outside hotel. There is evening entertainment which is of a reasonable standard, however, without wanting to be "a grumpy old man" after the children's entertainment, the adult shows start at 9.30. Children of under five etc are still allowed to run around the stage area whilst acts are on. Overall this hotel still scores as very good.More
2nd Great stay
Just returned from Akti Zeus for 2nd year running having enjoyed 14 days with the family, hotel again was amazing everything spotless food was excellent staff were brilliant waterpark very enjoyable my only critique from this year was animation team were not as good this year don't get me wrong they tried but activities during the day were repetitive everyday no variety the boys tried very hard but some of the girls looked liked they didn't wanna be there but suppose that's gonna be down to personal choice for different people but on all in all would not hesitate to recommend this hotel you really won't be disappointed ☀️😎More

Just so you know, all slides here have a minimum age of 10 years and minimum height of 1.2m, with the exception of the Wave Ride which has a minimum age of 12 years and minimum height of 1.2m. Also, to make you aware, there is a power station located around 300m from the hotel. Whilst this is visible from some rooms and public areas of the hotel, it should not impact your enjoyment of the facilities here.
