Or, embrace your spiritual side by cruising past the monasteries of Mount Athos – boats leave from Ouranoupolis, about two hours' drive away. If you fancy village-hopping, head over to rustic Afitos – just 15 minutes away by car – for a Greek coffee in the old town square.
