View All DealsHolidays to Tingaki, also known as Tigaki, take you to the north coast of Kos, overlooking the South Aegean Sea. Fly direct to the island from Dublin, and enjoy this laidback resort that's famous for its sandy beaches and wildlife reserve. There are plenty of amenities around, and Kos Town is nearby if you want a change of pace.
Tingaki boasts around six kilometres of sandy beachfront, and on a clear day you’ll enjoy views all the way over to the Turkish coast. There are lots of different beaches to choose from. Whether you’re looking for complete relaxation, family fun, or exhilarating watersports, you’ll find what you’re looking for. Many of the beaches are lined with traditional Greek tavernas, cosy cafés, and lively beach bars.
Tingaki is bordered to the west by Aliki, or Salt Lake. It takes around one hour to walk around the lake, and it’s a stroll that’s well worth doing if you love a bit of nature spotting. This wild and undeveloped area is home to many lizards, and attracts a number of bird species. However, it’s most famous as a resting spot for flamingos during migration. You can sometimes spot them out of season.
Whether you love the great outdoors, or city exploration, there are lots of days out in the local area. A 20-minute drive south will take you to the trailhead for Mount Dikaios, the highest mountain in Kos at 846 metres. A 20-minute drive to the east will bring you to Kos Town. Here, you can visit the old Roman ruins and historic fortresses before shopping in the designer stores in the Old Town area.
