Best time to go to Iceland
There are two distinct seasons in Iceland. In the summer, people flock here to make the most of the midnight sun and milder weather – temperatures are still on the chillier side, but often sit in the mid-teens. There’s less rain and snow, too, so sightseeing’s easier. In winter, however, the mercury can plummet to as low as -10°C, and there are only around five or six hours of sunlight a day. It’s also the ideal time to spot the Northern Lights.
