Yes, you’ll need a passport to travel on a Marella cruise. Each destination has different entry requirements, so you’ll need to check if your passport’s valid for the places you’re visiting – even if you don’t plan to go ashore.
Do I need a visa or ESTA for my Marella Cruise (including travel to the US Virgin Islands)?
You’ll need a visa or an ESTA for some of the countries we sail to, even if you don’t step ashore. If you’re travelling on an itinerary that includes the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico, you'll need to apply for an ESTA before you travel.
