Parghelia is still little known as a holiday resort, but its beach certainly measures up to its better-established neighbours. Think tempting trattorias serving seafood freshly plucked from the local waters. And a pretty parish church that houses an intricately carved altar. Or for something buzzier, there’s always scenic Tropea, a clifftop town packed with colourful shops, eateries and must-see monuments. It's only five minutes' drive down the road, too.
