Exploring the area

The surrounding countryside is home to postcard-perfect villages and thriving olive groves. Look out for trulli – the region’s traditional cone-roofed houses in Alberobello. Just 25 minutes’ drive from Fasano, this UNESCO-rated site is packed with the quirky, hobbit-style homes.
