This beachside hotel is getting a fresh new look for summer 2018, it comes with great views, a sociable buffet restaurant and a cocktail bar*.
The hotel slices the coast between the beaches of Son Matias and Palma Nova, so there’s sand outside and sea views from every room. It’s 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of town, and less than 15 to Magaluf.
The good-sized pool looks out over the sandy beach, and it’s circled by thatched parasols. Food-wise, the buffet restaurant serves some great fish dishes, while a pair of bars covers cocktails and entertainment.

Half Board Entitlement
I am writing this review in attempt to find out what exactly is included when making a booking on half board basis with Thomson. From past experience, my understanding is this includes 7 bed and breakfast and 7 evening meals. The reason I raise this is my wife and I only received SIX evening meals as the restaurant was CLOSED on the day of our arrival. We automaticlly assumed we could have lunch on another day as a replacement for missing our evening meal. We asked the Thomson rep the next morning only to be told that is was not possible and that it was OUR fault for booking a separate flight ( not with Thomson) which would not get us in in time to receive dinner on the day we arrived. Her exact words was that SHE could not pay for OUR lunch. What a joke. Over many years my wife and I have been long time loyal customers of Thomson but unfortunately we will reconsider future holiday plans with other holiday providers and. hopefully they would be more professional when dealing with their customers. As I am not satisfied with the explanation given by the resort rep, I should kindly request an urgent response from a Senior Thomson official spelling out in detail their policy if they have one. I await with interest a response from Thomson and NOT the hotel management as the matter was raised with the Thomson rep at the Santa Lucia. Finally, my wife and I enjoyed our holiday at the Santa Lucia very much and would surely recommend it to anyone.More
Bed only would be a better option!
Having just returned from this Hotel for an umpteenth visit it was the worst yet. I will start with the good bits. The room - although very tired they are always spotless and the beds comfortable, and the bed linen changed on a regular basis. Staff at reception are polite and helpful. Now to the Bad bit The dining room, Unless you go to eat immediately when the dining room opens for breakfast you will be lucky to get a clean/cleared table after 8-30, then the hunt begins for cups or glasses or you have to wait for the juice machine to be replenished or wait for the cold milk to be topped up. As for the cooked breakfast well what do I say beans and boiled eggs are good, scrambled egg is sloppy, fried eggs are very runny - even the white, the bacon is either very pale or over cooked and is welded to the serving tray. As for the sausage somebody please tell them what a decent British sausage should look and taste like. Now for the evening meal. my children like chips with everything but after the first night they were turning their nos up - the chips are like cardboard and very tasteless. some of the potatoes were uncooked, be it boiled, or roasted it made no difference. The other vegetables were acceptable. The meals - chili was tasteless, chicken on the skewers was reformed, grilled chicken was tough, sliced beef was tough or raw, salad was decent and there is a decent choice of fish which could was overcooked. My husband had spaghetti bolognaise one evening and that was good. Didn't bother with desert .More
Great stay here, I would recommend!
Me and my partner stayed in this hotel in May/June time for 7 nights. We both really enjoyed it here, the rooms were good size, had a tv and kettle, nice bathroom, we had a tiny ant problem but nothing major. We had a stunning view from our balcony on to the beach side as we were on the top floor (thankfully they had a lift!) The staff were very polite and welcoming, we had booked with Thomas Cook and two of their reps were stationed at the hotel reception which was really helpful as we could ask for travel and touring tips and they could give us details about our flight home etc... This hotel is located really well as it's only 30mins via taxi or bus to Palma city, 15mins from Maga and the bus/train system is good to go to other places like Peguera and Port de Sóller. We chose to stay half-board with food at the hotel so this included breakfast and evening dinner. I am gluten-free and we made the hotel staff aware of this and they looked after me perfectly. Food wasn't amazing but it was enough and filled me up. Every dinner time the main waitress would let kitchen staff know I'd arrived so they could warm my meal up. They also had fresh meat and fish on the grill most evening so if my separate meal wasn't enough I could get some more meat. The indoor pool was nice, not big but ok and we didn't get to experience the outdoor pool as we were out a lot but it was always packed up. The area outside the hotel is very nice, filled with little tat shops and restaurants, beautiful beach with loads to do. I'd definitely go again, would recommend from family, friends or just partners. Amazing time here.More
Brill time again
Once again I would like to thank the amazing staff on reception, Miguel and Rafa on the bar the cleaners staff the people in the restaurant, for a wonderful time . The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but we had bingo quiz every night so I was ok . We were at Santa Lucia in May and the only thing that was different was the salad bar in dinning room was you had stopped doing cold meat platters which were very sort after . Can't wait to see you all in May and September once again you did us proudMore
Santa Lucia Experience
Have stayed here on numerous occasions and it never fails disappoint. Just returned from a two week break and could pick-up on the transition process being implemented. The staff are so friendly and welcoming from Pepe on Reception, Miguel and Rafa on bar area, and Anna on terrace bar. There are two new Entertainment Reps Modesta and Radka who have been helping out the last Couple of weeks. Do hope they keep them on as they were amazing and a great asset to the Hotel. Looking forward to seeing the new transformation, but hoping it doesnt change the ethos of a now established Hotel ? Mrs M MarkhamMore
