The real Fuerteventura

Also known as Costa de Antigua, Nuevo Horizonte is one of Fuerteventura’s quiet residential districts. You won’t find souvenir shops and huge crowds of people here. What you will find is the real Fuerteventura, giving you a look at how the locals live. It’s a great opportunity to check out a different side of the Canary Islands, and learn the lingo from the local residents.

Try something new

In Nuevo Horizonte, big supermarkets are replaced with tiny local bakeries, offering all sorts of fresh baked goods you can’t find elsewhere. But there's enough here to satisfy your holiday needs. Between the clifftop area of Torres del Castillo and the waterfront area of Antigua Bay, there are a number of great restaurants, and even some Irish pubs.

Seafront strolls

If you love peaceful seafront strolls, you’ll love Nuevo Horizonte. A shared footpath and cycle path extends all the way from the resort to the nearby holiday hotspot of Costa Caleta. The walk takes around 30 minutes, and follows the barely used gravel road along the coastline. There’s lots to do in Costa Caleta. It’s known for its lively nightlife, watersports, and volcanic black-sand beaches.
