Mogan Princess & Beach Club

The hotel is in a fairly quiet location and you can see amazing sunsets from your room. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. The food and drinks choice and quality is acceptable. It would be helpful for the food to be more clearly labelled with “V” for vegetarian and to have more choice other than cheese based items for vegetarians. Loved the hash browns for breakfast. Need to have more than one point for tea/coffee/ water/beer/wine as the queue builds up especially at breakfast. Suggest change cups for mugs and/or have pots, so customers do not have to trek several times for refills. The hotel is in need of some TLC - maintenance repairs need to be carried out, and painting and decorating. The furniture in the room is tired looking as is the bedspread and the one pillow is way too thin. The beds are very creaky. Bedrooms and balconies should be a smoke free zone or at least have some blocks that are smoke free. Walls and balcony screens are so thin that conversations can be heard. There is limited public transport in November in this location, although the hotel does provide a shuttle bus to the beach. Reception provide local bus times on request. Car hire was quick, easy and reasonably priced at the hotel, but be prepared for a 15 minute hike up and downhill as there is rarely a space near the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was comfortable and had a nice atmosphere. Taurito and Puerto de Mogan are quieter resorts which makes for a relaxing holiday.

We just spent 4 nights here and we did enjoy our stay. The rooms have amazing views, the food is very good and there’s plenty of choice. That staff are very friendly and welcoming. The beach has plenty of water sport activities and is clean. The hotel itself is in need of repairs. There are lots of broken floor tiles everywhere about the outside areas. There’s lots of flaking and crumbling plasterwork also. The planters that line the balconies are made of fibre glass but need to be repainted and repaired. They look like they could crumble ( I’m sure they can’t because of the material they’re made of, but the point is that they look bad ) Apart from that, my main complaint is not the hotel, it’s that the area has no public bars or restaurants, not even a cafe. This is because all the hotels there are all inclusive ( as far as I’m aware ) The beach is lovely, but the commercial units beside it are in a poor state of repair with very rusty fences and crumbling concrete facades. The public pathways are unfinished and very poorly laid. The only road to the neighbouring town of Mogán is closed ( and looks like it will be for quite a while ) meaning that you have to take a €20 taxi ride to get there. I don’t mean to sound mean about the place. We did leave refreshed and enjoyed a lot of our break, but unless you’re happy just using the hotel facilities with not much else on offer, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We booked for 5 nights but left after one. The hotel is very crammed and the elevator system is terrible. The hotel doesn't get any sun until almost noon at this time of year. It is a long enough trek down to the beach The dining room isn't very nice but the food was fine. The rooms are fine and they are clean. All the staff were really nice, especially Monica. We won't be going back.
