Fly direct from Dublin to Tenerife for a travel adventure through the 'town of the giants.' Holidays to Los Gigantes bring you face to face with the town's giant coastal mountains. Enjoy the spectacular views from the volcanic sand beaches or the restaurants around the harbour.
There are daily boat tours from the port of Los Gigantes. You can go down on the day and see if any spots are available, but it's best to book in advance. Tours last for around three hours and include free drinks and sandwiches. But the real highlight is seeing the magnificent whales and playful dolphins in their natural environment.
Los Gigantes means 'the giants.' The town gets its name from the towering rock formations along the coast. The locals call these the Acantilados de Los Gigantes, which translates as the 'cliffs of the giants.' They stand as high as 800 metres in some place. Head down to the harbour for the best views.
Oasis Los Gigantes is a swimming pool and waterpark complex. It's great for a family day out. It has a shallow pool with waterslides for the kids, and a heated infinity pool for mum and dad. The infinity pool is salted, so you can float across the surface while the sun beams down. The complex overlooks the ocean, giving you breathtaking views of the coast. There's also a restaurant and bar for lunchtime refreshments. The centre is open seven days a week from 9.30am to 5.30pm, and it's only a 10-minute walk from the centre of Los Gigantes.
