Second successful visit
This is our second visit to this hotel and like the first we had a fantastic time. We had a sea view room and the view was absolutely stunning. It was glorious to sit on the balcony and have a drink. The food was excellent with plenty of choice there was something for everyone. The staff were friendly and very hard working nothing seemed to be a bother to them. The room was cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels . The bed was very comfortable we had a great nights sleep .The entertainment was great and the piano room had great comfy sofas for relaxing with a drink. It is located on the beach and very close to bars and shops. Everything needed for a great holiday on the door step. We will be back without a doubt.More
Great week with friends
Once again we flew to Tenerife and had a fantastic week in the Conquistador Hotel as usual on the Privilege package . Firstly , we were met by Kumal who is the new Privilege Rep, the guy is brilliant , so helpful and went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as he could possibly make it , the Conquistador management should know they have a gentleman there , a true gem who was highly rated by us and all the guests we spoke to. Since our last visit to the hotel we noticed a few new faces all of whom provide and actually added to the great service we have came to expect in the hotel , we have to mention Cynthia without doubt our favourite and the best waitress in the Italian Restaurant. We spent two nights with our friends in the steak house which was recently opened , unfortunately we felt a wee bit disappointed with the steaks we had , the meat was undercooked and very fatty , also on the second night my wife asked for Chicken with Paprika as her main course, and was told this was not available but she was offered"another chicken dish " , when the dish arrived it was chicken wings ....a starter !! No chips , no veg , no salad ...as I said we were all disappointed with the quality of the main meal served in steakhouse , we can only hope they work on improving both the meat quality used and improve the menu before our next visit. We would recommend the hotel very highly as we have spent now 5 fantastic breaks here over the past few years.More
CONFISCATION OF ALL INCLUSIVE BAND
Hotel fine on arrival. Kept great and clean, room nice but some staff rather rude to me and my friend. On the day of check out after being there a week and paying all inclusive we had our wrist bands taken off us at checkout (12:00). We were then given a “complimentary” token to use for dinner in the food court, nothing else. Our pick up time for the airport was 18:00, which left us 6 whole hours where we had to pay for our drinks, despite the fact we payed for an “all inclusive” stay. When I question this the attendant at reception was very rude, abrupt and dismissive. After staying in many all inclusive hotels, this is the first time I have EVER experienced this. Would not recommend because of this. Especially those who have childrenMore
Very nice hotel
We have had a brilliant stay at the hotel, we could not fault a thing. The rooms are standard hotel rooms but the restaurants were lovely, we spend an evening in each of the 3 onsite restaurants and definitely recommend! The coffee shop was a great additional place to visit. The hotel seemed a little penny pinching with having to pay for a lot of extras, such as the safe, towels etc. When we payed quite a price for our week stay we expected more to be included. We also thought more bottles of water should have been available especially for the night time. Other than that we will defiantly recommend. More
Gone down hill
We have visited this hotel 4 times in 25 years and this is the worst and our last visit here. Good points- air conditioned rooms clean and the food is pretty good except for lunchtime. We like the location- perfect for the shops and bars we like. Bad- disgraceful treatment by staff if you are not all inclusive and that is not just us. We spoke to several others who had the same treatment and witnessed a couple of disgraceful displays of rudeness to other guests. The beds are packed like sardines around the pool. But it is the aggressive and rude nature of the staff that has caused this review. This is clearly instructions from the incompetent management. Entertainment finishes at 10pm and lasts less than 1 hour with clearly the cheaper acts on the island. Not for us and many others that we spoke to . We will not return.More
