Holidays to Camyuva are a bite-sized slice of Turkey you’ll want to gobble up, from coast to countryside.

Calm, coastal Camyuva

Tucked along Turkey’s Antalya coast, Camyuva is a small seaside town that feels like a quieter take on neighbouring Kemer – just 10 minutes down the road. You’ve still got the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean on your doorstep, but the pace here is slower and more relaxed. It’s family-friendly, wrapped in pine-covered scenery (its name literally means ‘pine home’), and all about easy beach days over big nights out.

Did I hear crystal-clear waters?

Yes – and they’re seriously good. Camyuva’s long, pebbly beach stretches for over two kilometres, and the water’s super clear, shifting from shades of bright turquoise to deep blue. With palms and mountains framing the shore, the views are just as impressive as the sea. Add in Blue Flag spots and gently shelving shores, and it’s a great pick for family-friendly swims, too.

The real Turkish takeaway

Come hungry – Camyuva does Turkish food better than your local. Think seafront taverns, family-run gems and restaurants with a view, all serving up fresh fish, zingy olive oil dishes and Turkish classics. Adana kebabs are a must – juicy, spiced and piled onto flatbread with salads and yoghurt dips. Meze plates and gozleme – a thin, stuffed flatbread filled with cheese, spinach or meat – are perfect for grazing, too.

Getting out and about

There’s plenty to tick off if you fancy exploring. You’re right on the edge of Beydaglari Coastal National Park, and you can hike some of the Lycian Way – a long-distance trail linking ancient cities and mountain villages along the coast. Phaselis Ancient City is just 10 minutes’ drive away for a dose of history, or head up Mount Tahtali, Turkey’s highest coastal peak – the cable car is just a 20-minute drive away and serves up panoramic views.
