Some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean are waiting for you when you travel to Barbados – from the small-but-perfectly-formed stretches on the west coast, to the pink-tinged belts of sand in the south. They’re all pushed up against the Atlantic Ocean, and many have a bustling backdrop of al fresco bars and restaurants. Plus, the downtown area’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so there’s plenty of history to be found. If it’s nightlife you’re looking for, St Lawrence is the answer – there’s wall-to-wall reggae music and rum shacks here, as well as an international dining scene. Flight-wise, you’re looking at nearly nine hours direct from the UK to Grantley Adams International Airport, but you’ll barely notice the distance if you’re on one of our Dreamliner jets.
