GETTING TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT

  • Sharm El Sheikh Airport is located approximately 18 km from the main parts of Sharm El Sheikh. It takes 10 minutes to reach the main coastal resort areas, or 20 minutes to Habada and Ras Um Sid a little further south.
  • The El Salam road connects the airport with Sharm El Sheikh.
  • Bus services from the airport are offered by private operators and are usually in the form of minibuses. You'll find them outside Terminal 1.
  • Minibus services don't run on a regular schedule, with prearranged stops and times. Instead, you should organise the journey in advance by letting the driver know where you want to stop.
  • It’s best to agree on the price of your journey with the driver before setting off.
  • The drive to the main parts of Sharm El Sheikh takes about 15 minutes.
  • Taxis are available at the rank outside Terminal 1.
