Best time to go to Tunisia

It might be part of Africa, but Tunisia has a Mediterranean-like climate. Summers are hot, and temperatures often top 30 degrees in July and August. The Sahara Desert doesn’t feel the benefit of sea breezes and doesn’t get much shade, so if you like things a bit cooler, it’s a good idea to visit in the spring or autumn instead, when temperatures hover around the mid-20s.

Passports & Visas

Irish citizens don’t need a visa to enter Tunisia but must have a valid passport. For the most up-to-date passport and visa info, visit https://www.dfa.ie/travel/travel-advice/a-z-list-of-countries/tunisia/

Health & Safety

You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. For the latest health and safety information, visit https://www.dfa.ie/travel/travel-advice/a-z-list-of-countries/tunisia/.
