View All DealsHolidays to Faliraki offer a Blue Flag beach and family water park, as well as buzzing nightlife and high-adrenaline watersports like parasailing and ringos. It's also only half an hour's drive from historic Rhodes Town, the island's capital.
Faliraki lies on the north-east coast of Rhodes island, and is known for its party atmosphere. Night sees it throbbing with the music from its central Bar Street and Club Street. In the daytime, you'll find a clean sandy beach where you can relax. Its huge range of restaurants serve up fresh local seafood like octopus and cuttlefish, and traditional Greek, as well as Indian, Asian, Italian and Mexican cuisines.
Faliraki has five kilometres of Blue Flag sandy beach, teeming with sunbeds and brollies. You can try a wide variety of watersports, including jet-skiing and banana boating. Pedalos, canoes and boat trips are also available. For a quieter option, there's a stony beach at Kalathos just a 30-minute drive away, which is good for swimming and snorkelling. A little closer, just 10 minutes up the coast to the north, Kallithea has a selection of good beaches. And around the headland to the south, you'll find the little rocky cove of Anthony Quinn Bay.
You can get to Rhodes Town on a regular water taxi, or it’ll take you 30 minutes by road. This UNESCO-rated medieval walled city is one of the oldest in Europe, filled with narrow cobbled streets which are fun to stroll around. The 14th-century Palace of the Grand Masters is a huge fortress that was rebuilt as a holiday retreat for Mussolini and is one of the most visited attractions.
The beach at Faliraki is arguably the best in Rhodes, it is long and sandy and extends the whole length of the resort. There is a full range of watersports, umbrellas and sunbeds available. Be warned, the beach is packed during high season.
