Best time to go to Lake Como
Lake Como is famous for its Mediterranean-esque climate. In May, temperatures reach around 20°C, while July and August can hit the high 20s or low 30s – though cool breezes blow across the lake to keep the heat in check. Temperatures can drop considerably in the evenings, so it’s worth taking a light jacket. Rainfall isn’t unusual during the summer either, with an average of 13 wet days every month, so be prepared. If you’re partial to a bit of swimming, the lake waters can exceed 20°C in July, August and September.
