Flights to Parga

Our flights to Parga touch down at Preveza Lefkas Airport, which is a little further south on mainland Greece’s west coast. It takes about an hour to travel from the airport to the town, but what’s in store is worth it. Looks-wise, Parga can do no wrong. With its big scoop of sand, bright blue waters and mountain backdrop, it’s got real postcard appeal. The restaurant-lined harbour’s backed by a maze of café-and-shop-studded streets. This place isn’t popular with the British crowd, either – Greeks love to come here on holiday. Look beyond the bay, and you’ll be met with a higgledy-piggledy network of family-run tavernas, age-old churches and blink-and-you’ll-miss-them souvenir shops. It’s not strictly Greek here, though. You’ll find a fair few bars and restaurants with a more international flavour, and the hotels strike a balance between modern and traditional features. For beaches, there’s a mini one in Parga itself. You can get a full sandy deal by hailing a taxi boat and heading for the golden shores of Lichnos and Valtos. Paradise Beach, meanwhile, looks as though it’s masquerading as a Caribbean stretch with its powder-white sands and glass-clear waters.
